...she was sitting at a different café; enjoying a soft drink as she took in the lovely weather, whilst gazing thoughtfully at a card she held in her hand... St. Joan. ...hrm... Still, thoughts ran in her mind on whether or not she should pursue the path that would lead back to Domino City...

"Geez, we're gonna have to go off rumors...hopefully she won't be too far off, mate." He kept looking. "Who do you think we should ask first?"

Suddenly, a few people in the cafe looked a bit surprised, as a figure walked through to a vacant table.

He sighed. "Well, I'll start over here then." He parked his bike on the side to ask a few people.

@tanya@ The amazoness sat near Mai's table. "...can I get a waiter out here?" She bellowed out, as a man ran toward her. "Y.yes ma'am..." He asked as she set her deck on the table.

She blinked, as she looked at this strange woman. ...a... duelist...?

@tanya@ She caught Mai in the corner of her eye, and blinked. "...excuse me." She got up, ignoring the waiter, and walked over to Mai. "What's that card in your hand?"

She quickly pocketed it, before glancing to the side. "...a... lucky charm."

@tanya@ "...ah, I see." She nodded. "It carries emotions...you're obviously a duelist who has her heart connected to her cards."

Narrowing her eyes, she kept looking aside. "...I don't see how that's your business."

[kelik]

@tanya@ "I suppose not. Sorry to be so forward." She nodded. "I'm a duelist myself, an Amazoness duelist to be specific."

She blinked, and looked back at her. "...Amazoness, hm? I dabble a bit with those cards, myself..."

@tanya@ "...is that right?" She smiled. "Hm, that's interesting. It's not every day I meet a fellow Amazoness user. A lot of female duelists tend to learn toward Spellcasters and burn/heal variants."

A wistful smile crossed her lips, and she closed her eyes. "...I don't mean to brag, but I have a bit of a reputation. Third place in Duelist Kingdom, and quarter-finals in Battle City..." Though the less said about the latter, the better.

@tanya@ "Is that right?" She looked interested, as she thought. "Let me guess...you're Mai Valentine?"

She glanced back at Tania with a nod. "...that would be me, yes."

@tanya@ "I haven't seen your face, but I can recall your statistics in those match ups....you haven't been in a big tournament since Battle City." She crossed her arms under her chest. "Bit of a shame, I'd have thought you would enter the Grand Championship at least."

Her smile faded, and she looked away from Tanya. "...I don't... want to talk about that." she murmured.

@tanya@ "Oh, sorry again." She said. "...well if you don't mind, how about a duel?"

"...hm?" She glanced at Tanya in some surprise.

@tanya@ "I know it's rather quick, but it's not every day I meet an amazoness user. Besides, you're a famous duelist...if you're in the mood anyway. I don't want to prod."

She simply hummed... "...one moment." Swiftly, she grabbed her drink, and chugged the rest of it in one go. "...alright... let's do it."

@tanya@ She giggled. "Alright. This way." She lead off.

They came outside near an alley.

@tanya@ As she came up to a tiger curled up near a pack and a duel disk. "Thanks, Bass..." She took the disk and dropped down some food...the tiger took it happily.

Seeing that, she hummed. "...rather exotic pet..." she mused, as she took out her own duel disk.

@tanya@ She smiled. "Oh, Bass? Isn't he cute?" She prepared her disk. "You can decide who goes first."
