'XYZ summoning...the new format...bah!' Thought the (former) king of the ring, Jack Atlas, as he raced across a road. Seems Mr Atlas didn't approve of these new cards...

"...yo, Jack!" Riding alongside the former king, Crow kept glancing in his direction. "You've been quiet for a while, now! Something on your mind?"

"These XYZ Monsters...they weren't around in our previous timeline, neither was this "Heartland". But Sherry made it seem like they're overtaking Synchros..."

"...really?" Crow hummed. "I didn't really see it like that." He glanced ahead. "It's just a new way to play. I mean, it's not like this kinda thing hasn't happened before, Jack. Think how people who were used to just Fusion and Rituals reacted when Synchro became the new thing..."

"Hm..." He looked over. "I suppose that may be true, I mean, I still use Fusions myself. However, it makes me wonder what kind of duelists chose these cards over Synchros and other types of cards..."

Crow just shrugged. "Hell if I know; this timeline stuff's confusing to think about..." he remarked.

"Perhaps I'm not a big fan of change. But regardless..." He pulled a certain card out of his deck... "It doesn't matter what kind of cards those duelists will be using, there's no opponent strong enough to take on Red Dragon Archfiend and I." Someone was getting a tad cocky.

"AAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!" a familiar scream was heard, sounding like Trudge....followed by violent rubber screeches.

Hearing that, Crow grit his teeth. "Let's save the reminiscing; sounds like trouble's up ahead!" And he sped for where the scream had come from.

He looked over too and sighed, putting his Red Dragon Archfiend away. He sped up after Crow.

They barely could see a bike go into a warehouse. But they can hear a crash, with metal falling on the ground.

"...the hell happened?" Quickly bringing his Duel Runner to a halt by the warehouse, he rushed inside to see what had happened.

He stopped too and stepped off, following Crow.

@trudge@ It appeared to be Trudge, lying on a pile of cardboard, with his bike in them, with its rear sticking out. Lucky thing the metal was outside of the boxes, because falling on them would not be good for the bones.

"...geez... Trudge!" Crow rushed over to the officer and grabbed hold of his arm. "How the hell did you slip up like this...? Jack, help me out, here!"

He came over and took his other arm, helping him out. "I'm not surprised, Crow. This isn't the first time he crashed..."

@trudge@ A low growl came from him...before he swung them both to the air, with impossible strength.

"WHA?!" He grunted and flew off into a crate, groaning. "Bloody hell...when did Officer Duncan Donuts hit the gym?!"

"GAH!" As the air was nearly knocked out of him from that blow, Crow coughed as he slumped to his knees; glaring at Trudge. "What the hell was that for?!"

@trudge@ His growl became as worse as a guard dog, as darkness flowed off his back. Making a fist, something glowed on his hand. A green image of the number 52 appeared.

He got up and saw the number, surprised. "What's that...? Crow, are you seein' this!?" It's a bit like the Dark Signer marks....except, it was a number, not an animal.

"...it's... a number..." Crow's eyes narrowed. "...the hell is this about?"

@trudge@ Gritting with a grin, the darkness reached right for the two, coating them all completely until they can't see anything but darkness...
And then they would awake, standing right on the side of a very tall tower...while being held by ropes around them.

"...hm...?!" He woke up and looked around him, grunting. "What in...hey! What is this?!" He pulled at the ropes.

"...guh!" Tugging on the ropes as well, Crow grit his teeth. "Oh, come on! What the hell is going on here?!"

Post by AnT on Nov 19, 2012 15:45:53 GMT -5
"HEEEEEEEY!!! SOMEBODY HELP!!!" someone screamed, which was Trudge's voice...
@trudge2@ On the other corner was Trudge...but younger...but still as tall as they knew him. He wore a dark school uniform, and was hanging onto a rope for dear life.

"...ah... Trudge!" Crow struggled as he looked towards him. "What the...!" His eyes suddenly widened, as he could see a dark presence on the very top of the tower... ...gazing down at Trudge with the most evil of grins. A figure Jack and Crow would certainly recognize from history records... though not as they had ever seen him.

"...you must be joking." He shouted. "What kind of practical joke is this, Trudge...!" He saw the figure too. 'No, is that...Yugi?!"

@trudge2@ "COME ON!!! YUGI!! PLEASE LET ME LIVE!!" he pleaded. "I'LL FORGET THAT MONEY YOU OWE ME!!"

"...the hell is he doing here?!" Crow uttered. "And... why does he look so... different?" Grinning malevolently, his arms were folded. "Forget it? Oh, you think it's going to be that simple, Ushio? To just sweep your sins under the rug like that?" Even just hearing him speak was chilling; even as he spoke a name he certainly hadn't heard be used for Trudge before. "Oh, I think the only way to repent is simple, Ushio..." He snapped his fingers. "...a game, to decide your fate."
