The two tuners lifted in the air and vanished into 4 flaming rings.

@archfiend@ As the dragon lifted through the rings, roaring out. The rings spiraled around the dragon...

As Jack's eyes glowed red, and his signer mark glowed even more. "The devil and the king's souls will converge here...and create a roar that will shake the heavens! Synchro Summon!!! My burning soul...RED NOVA DRAGON!!!"



@rednova@ The flames cleared as the dragon's form changed to that of a true terror. As he roared out once more.

Crow's eyes widened. "Yes!"



His expression faded, and his eyes narrowed.

"Red Nova Dragon's effect kicks in...with each tuner in the graveyard! It gains 500 extra attack points. And last I checked, I have 3!"

@rednova@ The dragon roared out, as his flaming aura grew larger.

Atk: 3500 + 1500 = 5000

He pointed out Exodia. "Take a lesson in this: No one can defeat Jack Atlas in his best moment! Now, crush his XYZ, along with any hopes he has left, Red Nova Dragon! Blazing Nova!!!"

@rednova@ The dragon soared into the air and swooped down at Exodia like a meteor.

Exodia unleashed a roar; reeling back his fists as if he intended to crush the dragon... but the lone chain still wrapped around his left leg prevented him from even throwing a punch...

...and in that very moment, the Egyptian golem was utterly obliterated.



Crow's eyes widened. "YES!!!"



At this point, something unforeseen happened.

He was no longer smiling. He was frowning.

Seeing him frown was enough to satisfy Jack, as he closed his eyes. "With your only hope gone, all that's left is to slowly take down whatever is left...turn end."

@rednova@ The dragon swooped down infront of Jack, giving off another soft growl.

"...I still have cards left, do I not?" With that, he drew his card; though now, he wasn't smirking; he had grown completely serious.

Seeing the card he drew, he glared at Jack. "I will sacrifice one of the tokens you allowed me to receive, to summon Guardian Sphinx!"

As the token vanished, a massive figure rose from the ground beneath them.





What's he planning now?



"And now, by tributing my Guardian Sphinx..." As he said that, the sphinx began crumbling. "...I will Special Summon Exxod, Master of the Guard, in defense mode!"

And as he spoke, from the crumbling sphinx rose a majestic figure; looking directly at Jack's dragon.

@rednova@ The dragon watched him, glaring back.

"Is that all? Red Nova will crush that pitiful defense!"

At that point, a chuckle escaped his lips. "...oh, but I don't think he'll be around to see it." Then, he looked at his face-down Monster Card. "I Flip Summon Guardian Statue!"

As he said that, the face-down card flipped over, and a figure rose from it.





Crow blinked. ...that's...



"Two effects activate." he spoke. "First, as I Flip Summoned an Earth-Attribute Monster, Exxod will eradicate 1000 of your life points. And secondly... Guardian Statue may select one monster on your field, and return it to your hand... or in this case, the Extra Deck."



Crow's eyes widened. Damn it!

As Guardian Statue grabbed the earth to make the ground underneath Red Nova flip him off the board, Exxod's eyes shone brightly, before a beam rocketed at Jack.

He took the beam right in the chest and grunted.

"I won't let you finish that...I activate my trap card!"



@rednova@ The dragon roared out and vanished right before he was sent back to the extra deck.

"Red Nova Dragon will return to the field once your turn is over..."

"Ah, but you've made a blunder..." he chuckled. "...you're wide open."

In that instant, Guardian Statue rushed over to slam its fist into Jack's face.



"JACK!" Crow's eyes widened.

[kelik]

"Guh!" He took the blow, and stumbled back.

"Now, I will activate Guardian Statue's effect." he hummed, as Guardian Statue returned to its original position. "I can flip him face-down once per turn."

In that instant, Guardian Statue flipped over and became face-down again.



"Damn it...!" Crow's eyes widened. Jack's down to his last... if he can't turn this around, he's gonna lose!



"I will end my turn there." he hummed, before folding his arms; watching Red Nova appear by Jack's side once more.

He slowly got up and grunted.

@rednova@ The dragon flew down too, growling a bit too.

"I'm not through yet!" He growled. "As long as my soul is still burning red, I will not lose!" He put his hand on his deck. "My TURN!!!" He drew.

And slowly looked at his card. "I activate Graceful Charity!" He drew his cards.

He looked over his hand and nodded. "...it's over." He discarded the other two cards and rose his only card. "This is exactly what I needed."

"...hm?" His eyes narrowed.

"Red Nova Dragon, go!"

@rednova@ He roared out and flew up in the air.

"Red Nova Dragon gains 500 extra attack points for every Tuner monster in my grave yard, and I have 4!"

Crow's eyes widened. "...and he only has 5100...!"



He just realized that as well; eyes wide as the massive blast rocketed towards Exxod. "...no..."

Exxod glared up at Red Nova, and with a roar, braced himself; ready to push back whatever the dragon would toss at him, even in spite of his complete lack of offensive capabilities.

"Graceful Charity allowed me to put another Resonator Tuner in my grave....giving Red Nova exactly what he needed to finish this." He rose his arm, as his signer mark glowed again. "This is the end: Red Nova Dragon!!! Finish this!!! Blazing Nova!!!"

The dragon shined bright as it swooped down at Exxod, smashing at it hard.

Exxod tried in vain to grab Red Nova, but it was far too late; his entire body exploded into shards...



...and he merely stood there as the fiery explosion engulfed him; a blazing inferno erupting before Jack.

He simply watched the explosion, closing his eyes with a sigh. as Red Nova flew behind him. He depowered his duel disk.

@rednova@ As the great dragon vanished slowly.

He looked toward Crow. "Are you two alright?"

"...oh... oh, yeah; we're hanging in there." Crow called back to Jack. "What about you?"

"Better now. I'm rather content." He rose his duel disk and brought the sharp end down at his rope, slashing it. He skid down to him and helped him and Trudge up. "Well now, how do you suppose we escape?"

The wind ble the darkness away, as they were back in the warehouse.

@trudge@ With an older, out cold, Trudge.

"...guess that's how..." Crow uttered as he looked around, before he rushed over to Trudge's side. "...what the hell happened to him to begin with, anyway...?"

He came up. "No idea...I'm still rather confused myself." He knelled to his side.

And he would find a black card of Exodia, lying beside Trudge.

"...hey... isn't that...!" Crow's eyes widened the instant he saw that card.

He looked over it too. "That Exodia card that maniac used?" He picked it up.

"I think it seems fine." He said, as his mark glowed. "The Crimson Dragon's protection seems to be helping out." He stood up. "Good riddance I say..." He put the card in his coat pocket.
