Heartland Warehouse: Big Mistake?

@jun@ "Tch..." He grunted at that.

@misty@ The girl rushed out and gasped. "CARLY!"

@jun@ He took off his duel disk fast and pulled out his chain, hurling it around Carly's disk, he forced it off her arm.

"BOSS?!"

The suddenness of it all caused her hand to be yanked towards him, and she fell to the floor with a cry, her glasses flying off her face. Still, it seemed like he had pulled the duel disk away from her in time. Slowly, she looked back at him, smiling just a bit. "...th... thank y-!!"

Immediately, her eyes shot wide open, as a spark shot through her being. "Uh?!" In terror, she slowly managed to look towards her other hand...

...and there, in her grasp... was a card.

Drawn.

In that instant, Carly was suddenly forced up on her feet, the hand holding the card spasming uncontrollably as it was held high up in the air, all as Carly's eyes rapidly flickered, her mouth agape.[rand=0879100735820616423593298995799396405573785553747926675214256191]

@jun@ "What?!"

@misty@ "NO!" She gasped out.

"BOSS!" One of his boys tossed back his disk.

@jun@ He caught it. "...what the hell did you just draw?!"

Carly didn't respond... that is, she couldn't respond. Her entire body was rapidly shaking, as some kind of aura from the card was surrounding her...

...and suddenly, an ungodly shriek escaped her lips, as the aura exploded around her.

@jun@ "Guh!" He held his arm up and stood his ground.

"ARGGGH!" His crewmembers were blown back by the aura.

@misty@ "Carly..." She held her arms up at it, but stood her ground too, slowly walking toward her.

As the aura slowly lingered, Carly still stood there, her eyes closed...

...but suddenly, they shot open, glaring at Jun.


Just the eyes, nothing else

"...this duel is over."

@misty@ "!" Her heart dropped when she saw her eyes. "C.Carly..."

@jun@ "...what's this?" He grunted. "What do you mean over?!" He could feel something was terribly off alright.

"My standby phase occurs. Fortune Lady Light reappears thanks to Future Vision's effect, and I special summon Fortune Lady Earth from my hand due to Inherited Fortune."

Immediately, two fairies appeared on the field, looking dead-on towards Jun.

"And now... I shall tribute two of my ladies."

As two of them vanished... suddenly, the very skies began rippling, as a gigantic shadow suddenly loomed over the group.

@misty@ "Carly, stop!" She rushed over to her.

@jun@ "What's she summoning now?!" He looked up.

Gorz rose his blade too, worried.

Not too far off...

"..." A young man walked toward a path, going toward the pier.

"Yo, Kai!" Said a male voice.



@miwa@ A young man with a similar hair style as Kai, but a much more happy personality. "Goin' to fight Jun again today, huh?"

"...what's it to you?"

@miwa@ "Nothing...I know he's a rough guy, but he seems to like you...just don't join his gang or anything like that....or strap me to another duel again."

"No promises..."

However, Misty's pleas fell on deaf ears, as a wicked grin spread across her lips. "...transcending five thousand years... the doors to the underworld shall open once more..."

Slowly, the very ground before her began to collapse, as a hellish glow was erupting from the ground beneath her.

"...may our souls feed the new world that shall rise! ASCEND!! EARTHBOUND IMMORTAL ASLLA PISCU!!!"

And then, it appeared. The skies blackened under the weight of this hellish being, as it erupted from the crater, and its cry foretold a fate most unkind to its prey.

@misty@ "No!" She put her hand to her mouth. "T.this can't be...happening..."

@jun@ "..." He stepped back, gritting his teeth. He was worried alright.

"...?" He looked over at the sky too.

@miwa@ "Whoa, check that out!" He blinked. "Some kinda duel monsters promotion going on there?"

"...." He rushed off.

@miwa@ "Wha? Hey, Kai!"

A fell laugh escaped her lips. "And with this... your fate is sealed. Future Visions shall activate!"

With that, one of the mirrors slowly engulfed the Earthbound Immortal, leaving two spheres lingering where he had once stood.

@jun@ "...what the hell...?"

@misty@ She grabbed at Carly's arm. "Carly! You have to stop this! Don't let the Earthbound Immortal keep control!"

"Its... its effect activates!!!" Carly didn't seem to hear Misty, as she spread her arms outward. "When removed from the field by a card effect other than itself... Aslla piscu shall destroy... ALL OF ITS PREY'S MONSTERS!!!"

With that, the two spheres suddenly rocketed towards both of the monsters on Jun's field; eradicating them in two powerful explosions.

@jun@ "NO!"

Gorz and the token groaned out in the explosion and were destroyed.

@jun@ 'I've still got this...' He gritted his teeth. 'My Mirror Force will keep me in this game...I just have to outlast this...'

@misty@ She stumbled back. "Carly...!"

"And... and when it... destroys a monster by this effect...!" Slowly, Carly looked back at Jun, an insane gleam in her eyes. "...then its prey... shall suffer 800 points of damage... for each monster crushed by its might!"

In that instant, from behind Jun, a mirror suddenly shone... and the leg of the Earthbound Immortal shot out to grasp him; trapping him.

@jun@ "What was th...GAH!" He was grabbed, and groaned out as the last of his life points hit...

1400 > 0!

Carly wins!

But the monitors in the air short circuited out at the might of the Earthbound.

@misty@ "NO!" She gasped.

The young man rushed onto the scene, shocked. "Jun!?"

Seeing him trapped, an insane laughter began to flee her lips once more; arms stretching out. "Behold, the splendor of Aslla piscu! No being on this earth can match its splendor! Its power is without parallel! And now... it shall rejoice in victory!"

Slowly, the towering hummingbird emerged from the mirror, even as every other card vanished from the field, slowly looking down upon Jun in its grasp.

@carly2@

"Now... now it shall rejoice... and claim the spoils!" Carly just kept laughing, sinking to her knees. "Watch... watch as it devours its prey...!!!"

Slowly, it raised its leg upwards; Jun slowly being hoisted up towards its opening mouth.

@carly2@

And still, in the midst of this horrifying scene, she kept laughing and laughing...

...to the point that she couldn't even notice the tears of desperation and utter anguish that were trickling down her face as she beheld this.

@jun@ "Ah...no...NOOOOOOOOO!!!" He gasped out in horror.

@misty@ "Carly!"

Suddenly, a thunder bolt struck down at Asllapiscu.

The bolt momentarily halted the hummingbird, but it didn't bring it down. With a twisted, ungodly shriek, it shot a look towards the one who was responsible.

The bolt did seem to have more of an effect on Carly, whose laughter completely stopped, her face frozen in a single, insane expression.

The bolt came from a large figure, floating up toward the Earthbound...



@vermillion@ The dragon snarled out.

The boy stepped up, as he had his duel disk active. "...let him go." He grunted. "Now..."

@jun@ "Kai!?" He shouted. "What the hell are you doing!? Get outta here!"

"...." He stood his ground.

@misty@ "...who the...?"

Slowly, the hummingbird just glared at this draconic figure...

...but then, it shrieked as it suddenly shot towards the dragon; its massive beak aiming to snap off the dragon's arm, as if it had no intention of releasing its prey.

@vermillion@ "GRAAAAH!!!" The thunder dragon roared out in pain, as he gnawed at his arm.

"Vermillion!" He grunted.

@jun@ "I said run!"

@misty@ "...Carly!" She rushed up to Carly and slapped her in the cheek.

The slap made her reel back just a touch... but her expression remained locked.

Still, the massive bird showed no sign of relenting; viciously attacking the draconic warrior.

@misty@ "Carly, no!" She shook some more.

@vermillion@ The dragon could feel his arm be torn apart, he couldn't stand it anymore...

"Vermillion...!" He gritted his teeth. 'This...can't be happening...if only he had more power...'

'...Toshiki...Kai...'

"!" He blinked. "...who...said that?"

'...you are needed...in the Spirit World...' echoed a deep voice in his head.

"What?!" He looked down at his deck, as it started to blaze. "What's going on?!"

@vermillion@ The thunder dragon suddenly caught ablaze too.

With a screech, it flapped its wings once to back away from the dragon, glaring down upon the two of them.

Suddenly, Kai caught ablaze too, as he glared at the Earthbound. "...Jun!" He called out, before he slowly started to vanish.

@vermillion@ The thunder dragon started to disappear too...

@jun@ "Kai!?" He looked in shock when the two vanished out of sight.

@misty@ "Where...did he go?"

Without a sound, the massive hummingbird slowly turned its gaze towards Misty, almost as if her inquiry had drawn its attention towards her.

@misty@ "!" She stepped back at that, and looked up, worried. "..." Her heart raced like mad.

With a screech, it suddenly shot towards her; stretching its other leg out to snatch her in its-

"Stop."

In that instant, the hummingbird came to a halt; inches away from Misty as it just glared down upon her.
