...but his pride won't be broken that easily... sure, what happened just now was shocking, but... he has a feeling that it won't end that easily...

I really thought she was concerned for Kalin... I thought she was a trustworthy ally... she's a good actor... He thought to himself, sitting on a metal box, looking at the pickaxe. But, if they think they have won... they'll have another thing coming...

The clanks of a pickaxe rung not too far from Greiger...

...as, silently, he was hammering the pickaxe he had been handed against one of the veins of Dyne; eyes narrowed in silence. To ensure that he would work, he had been shown a gruesome sight before he had been put to work...
...the graves of all those who he had sent to die in the mountains.

The guilt dug at his very core, and only fueled that self-loathing that had haunted him for so long. The only thing keeping him from doing himself in was... some kind of thought in the back of his mind... that he just couldn't grasp yet.

Some workers were around the mines, digging as hard as they could. Some looked more tired than others.
"Ngh..." A man fell over.
"OY!" Shouted one of Malcolm's thugs, as he ran up. "I told you not to slack off!" He pressed a button on his duel gun..
"GAAAH!!!" Which forced the collar around his neck to unleash an electric shock.

Glancing at them, Kalin simply closed his eyes in regret, before he returned to work. Many of these people were here because of him... he was surprised that he hadn't been lynched yet.

He scowled in disgust, fueling his plans to escape this place while freeing the prisoners in the process...
Thus, he'll lower the guard's... well... guard down by getting up and starting to continue the work until he has a plan...

Three workers came up, glaring daggers at him. "It's because of you we're stuck here for the rest of our lives...shinigami!" "Yeah! Bet you didn't expect to lose like the rest of us and end up in this hellhole!"

He frowned, something occured to him. "...hold on... Kalin beat you...? That means... you're from Malcolm's group...? Doesn't that mean Malcolm should free his own men...?"

"...the town needs Dyne... and everyone in the mountain is digging it out..." He glanced back at Greiger. "...if Malcolm cared for his men, he would have freed them the instant he had the chance."

And all of Malcolm's guards walked off to the edge of a cave, talking with some other workers as they planned to switch shifts.
"If so, why don't you let us help...we can at least get you two out."

They nodded. "Right..." They looked at Kalin. "You're the strongest duelist here...if you can beat the boss, then the town will be out of his grasp." "Yeah! That's how things work around here after all...we got no reason to be loyal to him anymore, so..." They looked over. "Just wait for our signal..." The three walked off.

Suddenly, and without warning, the three started picking a fight with each other, shouting out loud. "Gah!" "What'd you say about my ma?!" "I'll make you sorry you punched me!"
This in turn caught the attention of the new guards as they ran up to try to break up the fight with an electric shock.
"Guh!" They all groaned...but kept fighting anyway.
Surprising the guards, as they tried to pull them away...one would say this could count as a distraction.
