Duel Field (Right) - Anderson vs Brodie

As he got to his side of the field, Axel was already putting his Duel Disk on; looking through his deck with a stoic look, whilst waiting for his opponent.

"Howdy!" Said the blue haired duelist, as he approached the field with a big smile. "So, yer my opponent? Name's Jesse, let's have a good duel!"

His kitty cat partner floated behind him.

"...hm." Axel simply gave him a small nod. "Will you permit me to begin?"

[kelik]

"Sure thing! Whatever works for you." He got back and readied his duel disk. 'Wasn't expectin' ta duel, but considerin' Pegasus is busy as heck, this might be my one shot at him.'

With a hum, Axel drew his five cards...

...before he began his turn by drawing one card.

Immediately, he got to work. "First, I'll play the Spell Card Ookazi." The instant he did that, a massive fire suddenly erupted, and rocketed towards Jesse. "You'll lose 800 life points."[rand=415433707659284332608173319969653378170526457199358510167406113833]

"The he...GUH!" He took the fire and stepped back, losing said life points...

4000 - 800 = 3200

"No way! Yer usin' a burn deck?!" He looked surprised.

"That's correct." Axel nodded, as he placed down a card. "Now, I'll summon my first monster; Volcanic Slicer."

With that, in a searing sea of fire, his first monster appeared before him.





"I activate Volcanic Slicer's effect; at the cost of not being able to attack, he can inflict 500 points of direct damage to you."

With a hiss and a roar, Volcanic Slicer shot out a ball of fire straight at Jesse.

"Aw, not aga...OW!" He took another fire ball.

3200 - 500 = 2700

With a hum, Axel folded his arms. "I end my turn."

He smiled wide and got up. "Heh, this'll be interestin'. Never fought a burn deck before, and you seem to be a pro at it." He drew.

He looked over his hand. "I summon Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger!" He slapped a card down, as a large tiger leaped out onto the field, roaring.

He simply hummed. "I presume you're going to have your Crystal Beast attack my Volcanic Slicer?" Axel mused, in an observant tone.

"Wow! Yer a sharp one!" He held out his hand. "When Topaz Tiger attacks, he gains 400 extra attack points! So his pounce packs a wallop!"

@topaz@ "Heh, I've been itching for a fight..."

1600 + 400 = 2000

@topaz@ The tiger ran out and pounced at the Volcanic Slicer.

With a monstrous shriek, Volcanic Slicer was torn asunder by Topaz's assault.



Even as his life points sank, Axel remained neutral in appearance.

"...hm." With a hum, Axel drew his card.

Seeing that, Axel immediately summoned it. "I will summon Volcanic Rocket."

As fires erupted once more, his monster appeared.





"Now, I may add one Blaze Accelerator from my deck to my hand." As he did so, he immediately slid the card into his Spell/Trap Zone. "And I will activate it."

With that, a turret emerged behind Axel; aimed straight at Jesse.[rand=4043276095914581557994362926690155905855663149163194634218439537]

"Whoa, whoa...the heck is that gonna do?!"

@topaz@ "I don't like it..." He growled.

"I will sacrifice Volcanic Shell from my hand to activate Blaze Accelerator's effect..." Axel hummed, as the turret slowly shifted from Jesse to Topaz. "...to destroy your Crystal Beast."

Without mercy, a blast erupted from the turret that rocketed towards Topaz.

@topaz@ "What th...!" Suddenly he was destroyed...but not out.

A large crystal appeared in the spell and trap zone.

"So that's what it does..." He smirked. "But my Beasts are never gone, partner. When one gets destroyed, it'll turn into a crystal and remain in my spell and trap zone!"

"...so you say." Axel mused, as he folded his arms. "The disadvantage of Blaze Accelerator is that I cannot declare an attack after using it... so I will end my turn."

He smiled and held out a spell card. "I'm playin' a field spell!"



Suddenly, the landscape changed into a large roman arena. That'll look great on the duel gazer.

"Welcome to Rome! This is where me and my beasts feel right at home. Ain't that right, Pegasus?" He summoned out another beast...



@sapphire@ "Hm, quite a turn out. We must be in a tournament..." He said.

"That's not all. When Pegasus is summoned, I can pick a Crystal Beast from my hand, deck, or graveyard, and stick em in the Spell and Trap zone as a crystal!" A card pulled out of his deck, Jesse took it and put it in the back.

Almost put down 2 monsters in the hand instead of 1 as well. Scatterminded, much? XD



With a small nod, Axel kept his arms folded. "Though your Pegasus isn't strong enough to destroy my Volcanic Rocket." he pointed out.

"True, true..." He rose his other card up. "Till I can give him this that is!" He held out a card...



"Crystal Release gives Pegasus an 800 attack point boost!"

1800 + 800 = 2600

"With that, let's go!" He pointed. "Attack Volcanic Rocket, Pegasus!"

@sapphire@ Sapphire Pegasus galloped over at the rocket, attempting to stomp at it.

Axel closed his eyes as Volcanic Rocket was crushed beneath the Crystal Beast's hooves.

"I ain't done yet! I activate a trap!"



"Come on back, Pegasus!" Just like that, the pegasus vanished and returned to his hand, and Crystal Release was sent to the graveyard. "I'll special summon Amber Mammoth!" He put another card down in it's place...



And a giant beast appeared.

"And because Crystal Release was sent to the graveyard, I can put another Crystal Beast in my Spell and Trap zone as a crystal from my deck!" He pulled out another beast...



An Amethyst crystal appeared.

"And because it's still my battle phase, my Mammoth can attack you directly. So go for it!"

@amber@ "Right!" He stomped over and swung his trunk out at Axel.

The blow sent him skidding backwards, but Axel remained calm. "...hm."

He blinked and did so. "Alright, what's it do?"

The instant Jesse had drawn the card, though, the air began heating up around him.



"...now, I'll take a card from my deck... a Pyro-Monster, to be exact..." Axel hummed, as he drew a card and showed it to Jesse...





"...now... I'll banish this card." And so he did, whilst looking straight at Jesse. "...and just like that... half of Infernal Flame Emperor's ATK will be converted into damage... to make it brief, you lose 1350 life points."

In that instant, the heated air would explode around Jesse; which would surely make his life points diminish.

"Gah!" He groaned out when it happened, and knelled down.
