"Next, I will play Card of Sanctity." Axel spoke, as he held up another Spell Card. "We each draw until we hold six cards in our hands." Axel likely needed it more than Jesse at this point in time, as he drew his cards.

"Now, I'll sacrifice my Blaze Accelerator..." Axel hummed, as the turret vanished from the field. "...to activate its upgrade, Tri-Blaze Accelerator."

From where the turret had once stood, a bigger, sleeker, triple-barreled turret emerged, as it aimed itself at Jesse, like its counterpart.



"Its effect is similar to Blaze Accelerator; I sacrifice a Pyro Monster with less than 500 ATK to destroy one of your monsters, but with the added bonus of you losing 500 life points... but that's not what I'm going to do. I activate its secondary effect."

At that point, a valley of magma opened up beneath the Tri-Blaze Accelerator, as it sank beneath the ground.



"...by sending it to the Graveyard..." Axel hummed. "...I can summon my ace monster..."

As he said that, a gargantuan, molten hand of utter nightmare pushed itself out of the valley; hissing in a deep, monstrous tone as the figure rose.



"...Volcanic Doomfire."



A shrill, draconic roar erupted from this beast, as magma billowed out from its vicious jaw; it was hungry.

"!" He looked surprised at it. "Oh man, you can't be serious....he's huge!"

@amber@ The mammoth's eyes bugged out. "He's even bigger than me?!"

Erupting from its mouth was a vile, guttural snarl, as it cracked its neck a touch.



"He is a sight to behold, is he not?" Axel mused, as he folded his arms. "However, Soul of Fire's effect renders me unable to attack you this turn... so I will set two cards face-down, and end my turn."

He frowned. 'That monster's a tough guy...if only I had my deck ace...' He put his finger on his deck, about to draw. 'But...I ain't givin' up. I got faith in what I got!' He drew.

He looked at the card and grinned. "Here we go. I'll bring back my Pegasus!" He resummoned Sapphire Pegasus. "And with that, I'll bring another Crystal Beast to my spell and trap zone!"



An emerald appeared, making it 4. Jesse's field was full.

"Next up, I'll activate one of Rainbow Ruins' effects. If I have 4 or more Crystal Beasts in my spell and trap zone, I can draw one card." So he did.

"Next, I'll activate, Crystal Raigeki!"



"By sending a crystal from my spell and trap zone to the graveyard, I can destroy one card on the field!" He sent Amethyst's crystal to the grave. "And I'll pick..." He was about to pick Axel's most powerful monster.[rand=16857274994254112978553313994780278272780287079518620794208254665]

"...before you do, allow me to activate a trap card." Axel hummed, as a card flipped open... and a sudden gravitational force would force Mammoth and Pegasus to their knees. "Gravity Bind. It prevents all monsters at level 4 or over from attacking. Though... it has little consequence for the safety of my Volcanic Doomfire. Well played."

With a hellish shriek, lightning sparking from Jesse's crystal would cause the massive being to explode; scattering pieces of molten rock all around them.

"Thank ya! But I ain't done yet..." He held out another spell card.



"Now I can put up to two Crystal Beasts from my Graveyard to my Spell and Trap zone, but I'll just pick the one Amethyst I used." Just like that, he was back to 4.... "Now, it's about time I used this..."

The last card on Axel's field was crushed, but still, he remained completely taciturn.

The roman arena shattered as well, along with all of Jesse's crystals.

He smirked. "Guess we're back to square one. Except..." His Pegasus and Ruby reappeared. "I can summon a Crystal Beast for each card you had destroyed. And without Gravity Bind, Pegasus attacks!" His Pegasus galloped over and stomped again.

Axel simply closed his eyes. "...hm."

And the hooves of the horse struck him dead on. "...congratulations, Jesse Anderson. You win." he mused, as he slid his Duel Disk off his arm.

"Heh, thanks!" He did the same and rubbed the back of his head. "You did pretty well, Axel! Thanks for the match!"

"...no need for thanks." Shifting the Duel Disk into its gun-like alternate mode, he holstered it. "Though it was entertaining... you're certainly skilled." With a small wave, he turned to walk off. "Maybe we'll meet again for a rematch. Who knows..."

"That's it for Side B. The winner is Jesse Anderson!!" Kaiba's voice announced, before the audience cheered.

He waved and smiled. "I'll be lookin' forward to it, take care!" He left the stage too. "What an interestin' fella, right Ruby?"

He was too busy doing a little victory dance.

"Heh, come on, partner..." He lead off.
