Name:
Yugi Moto
Nicknames:
King of Games
Age:
17
Gender:
Male
Residence:
Domino City
Deck:
Strategy Deck
Weaknesses:
Yugi can be seen as a pushover, and often finds himself just being pulled along by adventures his peers drag him along with.
Personality:
While he is recognized as one of the most skilled duelists in the world, Yugi sure as hell doesn't act like that; he's very mild-mannered, and always willing to help someone out if they're in a bind. Of course, when things get too tough for him, he has someone he can rely on...
Likes:
Duel Monsters, hamburgers
Dislikes:
Evil people, shallots
Appearance:
History:
After a whooping eight years of hard work, Yugi Moto eventually managed to solve an ancient Egyptian puzzle his grandfather had given to him, believing that he would get a wish if he finished it. Though he got his wish (of having some real friends) fulfilled, it also allowed the spirit of an old pharaoh to enter his mind, where he resides to this day.
At first, Yugi and the spirit co-existed somewhat peacefully, though the spirit was quick to deal swift judgment on wicked people via his Penalty Games. However, when Maximillion J. Pegasus stole the soul of Yugi's grandfather, Yugi and his friends ventured to Duelist Kingdom, where they eventually managed to defeat Pegasus, and retrieve the souls he had stolen.
Later, one Seto Kaiba decided to host a tournament of his own, so he could collect the Egyptian God Cards; two of whom one Marik Ishtar had taken for himself. Signing up for the tournament, Yugi eventually claimed Slifer the Sky Dragon in a duel, and as the tournament went on, he also claimed Obelisk the Tormentor and The Winged Dragon of Ra from Kaiba and Marik, leaving him the winner of Battle City.
So far, Yugi has tried staying out of the spotlight, so he wouldn't be swarmed by reporters that would want interviews with the King of Games constantly.
Anything else?
Name:
Atem
Nicknames:
Yami
Age:
3000+
Gender:
Male
Residence:
Yugi's body
Deck:
Same as Yugi
Weaknesses:
Though it isn't apparent, he is dependent on Yugi to tell him the difference between right and wrong. When Yugi somehow is unavailable... things don't go too well. He is also quite proud, and usually never backs out from a duel.
Personality:
In contrast with Yugi, Yami is serious and commanding, always staying in control when the situation calls for it. Of course, this lends to him not knowing the power of his voice, as he can grow quite loud during a duel.
Likes:
Yugi, Duel Monsters
Dislikes:
Respectless cretins
Appearance:
History:
A pharaoh from ancient times, Yami's soul was somehow sealed within the Millennium Puzzle, where it resided until Yugi solved it. From there, Yami would possess Yugi's body whenever he was in danger, until Yugi became fully aware of Yami's presence; from there, Yugi would allow Yami to possess him whenever the situation called for it.
Much thanks to Yami, Yugi was able to conquer both Duelist Kingdom and Battle City, though Yami himself admitted that had it not been for Yugi's kindness, they wouldn't have gotten as far, and he himself believes that Yugi can outmatch him in every way.
