Name:
Maximillion J. Pegasus
Nicknames:
Crawford
Age:
24
Gender:
Male
Residence:
Duelist Kingdom/Private Summerhome
Deck:
Toon deck
Weaknesses:
There is a certain amount of ego trapped within his exterior, which, when challenged, can bring the man to make some reckless decisions. Also, with the loss of a certain artifact, he's not as flawless in dueling as he used to be.
Personality:
Much like many an eccentric multi-millionare, Pegasus can be seen as rather... quirky. Not that he isn't a serious businessman when the time calls for it, but... the man enjoys watching cartoons even as a grown man. Not to mention, the way he carries himself and the way he appears gives a rather effeminate outlook on him; though precious few can actually tell whether or not he's just faking it to throw his opponents off. On the side, he's also a freelance artist.
Likes:
Western cartoons, gorgonzola cheese, fine wine, being fabulous~
Dislikes:
Realism, cuttlefish, squid,anything unfabulous~

History:
When he was only 10 years old, he once met the love of his life, Cecelia, at a party that his father threw in Las Vegas. The two of them planned out how they would live out the rest of their lives together, but at the age of 17, Cecelia died because of an illness. After her death, Pegasus ventured to Egypt to try and rekindle the passion for painting that seemed to have died out with his beloved. There, he encountered a man named Shadi, who he followed into an underground temple. Seeing that he had been followed, Shadi put Pegasus under the test of the Millennium Eye, and forcibly swapped his left eye for the Millennium Item.
After briefly being reunited with his beloved, Pegasus learned of the Shadow Games played thousands of years ago, and grew quite fascinated with them. To this end, he founded the company Industrial Illusions, and in turn, created the ever-popular game Duel Monsters, which became a hit in the United States. He also discovered a carving of three Egyptian Gods during another excursion to Egypt, and, inspired by this, went back to the USA to create the God Cards; intending for them to be giveaways at Duel Monster tournaments; never meant to actually be played. However, everyone who worked on this project was killed, and Pegasus himself saw a vision of these gods destroying cities. Growing fearful, he had a guardian seal the God Cards away.
One day, he learned of the renowned Seto Kaiba being defeated and hospitalized due to one certain Yugi Moto. Growing curious, he decided to take advantage of the power vacuum by attempting to usurp control over KaibaCorp, which, if he gained access to their technology, would conceivably allow him to use the Millennium Items to revive his love. To this end, he enticed Yugi Moto to come to his private Duelist Kingdom tournament by stealing his grandfather's soul.
During the tournament finals, Pegasus showed just how abnormally powerful he was by effortlessly defeating Kaiba with his Toon deck, and stealing his and Mokuba Kaiba's souls as well. When the time came for his fight against Yugi Moto and the Pharaoh living inside of the Millennium Puzzle, he nearly managed to win with the Millennium Eye, but the Pharaoh's growing bond with Yugi and his friends spelled utter defeat for the creator of Duel Monsters, who allowed the souls he had stolen to go free.
His plans shattered, Pegasus retreated to his private chambers to lament the fact that he wouldn't see his beloved again. However, as if to throw salt in the wound, one Ryou Bakura showed up to claim the Millennium Eye for himself. Weakened by the duel with Yugi, Pegasus didn't have the strength to overcome the Millennium Ring's power, and as a result, had his Millennium Eye replaced with a glass eye; rendering him comatose for the better part of a year.
After the Battle City tournament concluded, however, he had fully recovered, and returned to being the ever quirky chairman of Industrial Illusions; overseeing newer generations creating new cards as the little game he had created now blossomed into a world-wide phenomenon.
