A sprawling metropolis of the future, and a major landmark in the world of Duel Monsters. It was in this city that the future of the game was born, Duel Runners. The city had various futuristic cars flying through the streets and people walking across sidewalks to their destinations...

A young, beautiful woman was sitting at a cafe, looking out the window. "...." She seemed to be waiting for someone to come.

A waitress came up and set her tea down on the table. "Here you are, miss."

"Thank you." She took a sip.

Have we won...? Or did it became worse...?

That was the thought of a Duelist as he stood on a bridge with a red Duel Runner, looking at the city with the chances caused by the time alterations...



He remembered everything when he faced Paradox... the Crimson Dragon protected him... will the others remember...? He never asked, afraid of their reactions...

He glanced at the time and sighed. ...she's waiting...

[kelik]

"Oi, Yusei! Ya seem troubled, chum." Exclaimed a familiar Australian accent, as a pure white motorcycle pulled up.

Enter Jack Atlas, the former King of the duel runner ring. He got out of his bike, taking his helmet off while walking to his friend.

[Ninetalesuk]

"Jack..." He said, standing by his bike while holding his helmet.

[kelik]

"Heh. That's my name, don't wear it out." He smirked, stopping. "You always come out 'ere to think about things, can't hide it from me. So, what's the problem, Yusei?"

[Ninetalesuk]

"....." He might as well go for it... "Um... Jack... have you noticed that things are... different than before...?"

[kelik]

"Eh? Different?" He crossed his arms. "Hm, now that you mention it, yeah, they are. City feels a wee bit smaller then I remember it..." As in a few buildings were missing. It was almost damn near impossible to tell in this wave of skyscrappers, but a few out of the way buildings are missing. Since they were small time businesses, no one really noticed anyway. "Why do ya ask?"

[Ninetalesuk]

He sighed, wondering what he should say next. "Do you... remember Paradox?"

[kelik]

"Do I..." He sure did. "What about that loon? I thought you took care of em."

[Ninetalesuk]

"I did, but... what he had done in the three timelines... including our own... the damage has already been done..." He said. "There are things here that didn't exist and histories also changed..."

[kelik]

"Hm, makes sense. I wonder why we remember though..." He looked at his arm with the Crimson Dragon mark. "Maybe it's got somethin' ta do with our marks..."

[Ninetalesuk]

"For you, it's the Dragon Birthmarks..." He said, glancing to his own Dragon head Birthmark. "...for me, it was the Crimson Dragon that made sure I wasn't changed by the timelines..."

[kelik]

"Hmph, these things're always double edged." The marks could either get them in trouble or out of it, this time it did the ladder. "Well, now that we know, what do you suggest we do?"

[Ninetalesuk]

"I don't know... even though we're Signers, we're still human beings..." He said. "The only option I can think of is to go back in time to locate where the problem is, but... that's too risky... it might end up getting worse..."

[kelik]

"True, but if we do nothing...?"

Suddenly, Yusei's phone rang. (Assuming he has one, in which case it's his Duel Runner)

[Ninetalesuk]

"Hold that thought..." He said, walking over to his Duel Runner and pressing a button.

[kelik]

"Yusei, there you are. Running a bit late, huh?" There was sounds of an engine in the background. "That's alright, I'll come to you then."

Slowly, the blond snuck his way over to Yusei, trying to easedrop. "......"

[Ninetalesuk]

"Akiza... sorry... had a lot on my mind lately..." He said to the monitor, placing the helmet on his bike.

[kelik]

"Don't worry about it, I understand." She always had a lot on her mind too. "Where should the two of us meet...or should I say the three of us."

"Ack!" He jumped. "You knew I was here?"

"You're breathing pretty loudly, Jack..."

"Aha, sorry..."

[Ninetalesuk]

"......" He looked into the distance. "...maybe the middle of Daedalus Bridge...?"

[kelik]

"Sounds fine to me, I'll meet you both in a few minutes. See you then, Yusei, Jack." With that, she signed off.

With a whistle, he smiled. "Sounds like she hasn't changed at all. Lucky you." He chuckled, going to his bike.

"Heh..." He placed his helmet on. "...and as for your question earlier, Jack..."

[kelik]

He turned on his Phoenix Whirlwind, reving it a little, then put on his helmet. "Well, just a thought, but what if time gets worse if we just leave it alone? Like, I dunno, people start disappearing because things are out of whack..." He didn't want to think about it, but it is possible for someone they know to vanish. If buildings could...

"....I don't know...." He said, letting the visor go over his eyes. "The only thing we can do right now is wait... I just wonder if Yugi and Jaden were lucky to survive like me..."

[kelik]

He nodded. "Right! Then let's get a move on, Yusei!" He drove off quickly.

Settling in his Duel Runner, he sighed as he started up and rode after Jack...

[kelik]

On the bridge Yusei mentioned, Akiza was leaning against her duel runner, sighing. 'So much for catching up...' She hasn't seen him in a while, she was hoping to spend a bit of time with him, but duty calls.

He rode up to the bridge, seeing Akiza.

[AnT]

"YUSEI!!!" a familiar voice roared from behind....followed by a hyena laugh.

If they would look behind them, they would see thug-like men on Duel Riders.

Glancing at them, his eyes widened. "Y-You guys?!"

[kelik]

"Hm? Who're these clowns, Yusei?" He looked over.

"?" She looked over too, curious.
