 "So then he was like, 'I could've been here sooner, but this guy bumper-kissed me, and he was threatening me to pay his damages'. I mean seriously, if that was true, his car would've had a dent too and..."  Sometimes it was hard to listen to her friend; she just liked to talk. Her mind was in total blank as she stared at the kids playing duel monsters.  "Alexis? Are you there?" "Huh?" she blinked. "What were you...?" Glancing at where Alexis gazed at, "It's just some dorks and card games." "Uh..." grinning, nervously, "No, I wasn't staring at anything." "Oh yeah, that." she scoffed, glancing at the people playing Duel Monsters. "Anyone, like those two dorks at homeroom, who plays that seriously have no life." Chuckling nervously, it felt like one huge blow to her ego. |

As her friends yapped, Alexis felt a new low. Even though she's trying to quit being a duelist, she still feels like one. And what her friend said made her feel like a loser. |

Coming in the cafe was a bald man with a black goatee, and a pleasant face. He also wore a maroon suit, and black khakis. "First of, I welcome you freshmen to St Domino High. I am Principle Sheppard. I hope your first three classes were quite grand. Anyways, we have just set up, on the bulletin board just out in the hall, behind me, sign-up sheets for after-school activities and clubs. It's always a good recommendation to have great academic involvement, as well as just great academic grades. So, if any of you are interested, right now would be a good time to sign up." "Oooo!" Brushing by Jaden, she hurried around the desk, pulling Alexis up by her hands. "Come on! Didn't you wanna try out the track team, you said?" "K-Kinda..." she coughed, helplessly being pulled away. "Wait up!" With the black-haired girl on their tails, joining the river of students out the cafe. |

On the board, where everyone crowded, there were many sign-ups for various activities. Soccer-club, chemistry-club, track, art, anime, a whole lot. But one that fit the theme of this story...

Oh why must this school tempt me?! Isn't that kind of club in a school illegal?! Staring at it, she was tempted to sign her name on it before it fills out. But her mind kept reminding her that she's trying to quit. "Baseball?!" she gawked at her black-haired friend. "Hey, they have a girl's team." she shrugged, finishing signing her name on it. "Alexis, what are you gonna join?" "Um..." Still staring at the DM club flyer, "I don't know..."
