Realm of Knights: The Holy Unification

The royal halls of the noble knights, known only as the Realm of Knights. It was at peace at the moment, however...

@artorigus@ "..." A sizable king paced the room of the round table in a flustered state. "...where is he..."

@laundsallyn@ "Milord...I suggest you calm yourself..." Said a man at the table.

@artorigus@ "How can I? We have not heard from Gawayn in the northern fortress, even after I had sent Borz to check on him." He grunted. "Nightshroud's men have us all on high alert, this is no time for our men to be scattered."

@laundsallyn@ "Indeed. But as the knight commander, it is your job to keep a cool head." He stood. "No matter the odds, the Noble Knights have always triumphed over the forces of evil."

@artorigus@ "Hm...you bring up a good point, old friend..." He smiled. "Thank you, Laundsallyn."

@laundsallyn@ "But of course, milord..." He bowed, and turned to the gates opening...

@drystan@ @peredur@ And two more knights came inside and took a bow.

@artorigus@ He rose his hand to them and nodded. "What of the east?"

@drystan@ "Not...faring well. Nightshroud's forces may break through at any time...what's worse, those black knights..."

@artorigus@ "Hm...yes, those men. Though we have not seen them make a move have we?"

@peredur@ "No milord...though that is what worries us." He frowned. "We are cut off from the outside world, surrounded on all sides like this..."

@artorigus@ "That may be. But worry not, my friends. We'll find a path that leads to victory." He rose his fist. "Perhaps we could recruit that aide of those guests of ours."

@laundsallyn@ "The "Royal Knights"? It is the first I've heard of such a name...are you sure they can be trusted."

@artorigus@ "I have faith in them. I sense they uphold the same sense of chivalry we do." He turned. "Besides, our options are few. We have not heard from the visiting Prophecy leaders yet."

And soon a soldier rushed in. "Milord, troubling news! The high priestess' party has been attacked!"

@artorigus@ @laundsallyn@ @drystan@ @peredur@ "!" And all four knights turned in surprise.

@peredur@ "...milord, allow me t-"

@artorigus@ "No, I'll go." He turned. "Drystan will accompany me. Laundsallyn and Peredur will stay and defend the capital."

@drystan@ "Milord?! But what if you were to fall?! We need you here!"

@artorigus@ "Fear not. I won't fall." He rose his blade. "Excaliburn is by my side, and we have the will to fight on. I cannot afford to fall."

@peredur@ "..."

@laundsallyn@ "I agree." He stepped up. "If his majesty were to go on the front lines and fight himself, then morale in our soldiers would increase greatly. Besides, you all know how strong this man is." He turned and smiled.

@artorigus@ "Hm...then you all have your orders. We have a duty to uphold!"

@peredur@ @drystan@ "Yes, milord." They both bowed.

@artorigus@ He nodded and turned to the black knight. "Laundsallyn, look after my kingdom...and my beloved Gwen. I'm counting on you." He smiled and walked off.

@laundsallyn@ "By my honor, milord..." He took a bow, and once he left...a sinister grin curled on his face.

Meanwhile, miles away from the kingdom...

A duelist was riding along on his bike.

With a boy behind him, staring at his only card.

She did the same, looking worried.

With another girl, who gave Yuma quite a glare along the way. "....."

[AnT]

A great battle has struck in a field by the shore. A clash of knights battling strange imp creatures has begun.




"....uh. That can't be good." Alexis pointed out, spotting the war, far ahead from the air.

Which was making him very uncomfortable, as he sank in the aide-car. "It was just a joke. Stop giving me the look, Tori."

He just shook his head as he kept a firm look ahead of him, driving along the group with a thoughtful look on him.

@gancelot@ "Hm, indeed..." He saw the battle down below too, but kept his distance. "Perhaps we should find another route..."

"NO! We will not fall to the likes of you!" Shouted a male voice on the battlefield.



"Our kingdom will not fall!" Shouted the captain, swinging his sword at the imps before him.

"Seems like a rather quiet drive for now..."

"Yeah. Something tells me that might not last..."

"Hm..." Aichi just looked worried. If everyone were to fight, he wouldn't be much help. He wanted to help somehow though.

There weren't just imps; animal creatures and beasts also fought with the imps, charging through the knights like bulls.

"Ooo, lookie at the cute castle, out there!" she said in awe, pointing at the castle, sitting miles away from them.

"Look out!!"

A pack of blue imps headed right for Gancelot, throwing blue fire at him.

"...it doesn't look like it's unoccupied, either..." With a nod, he glanced over. "Let's head over there now."

[kelik]

"Sounds good to me." He looked at Aichi. "Hold on tight, kid."

"O.oh, right!" He nodded and did so as they raced over. When they did, a few horses came out. The riders looked to be generic knights, but they were lead by two special looking knights at the front.





"They're really knights...it's amazing...!"

"No kidding..."

@drystan@ "...your majesty." He looked over.

@artorigus@ "Hm?" He looked over too. "Good day, travelers. I'm afraid you all came at a bad time."

"Waugh!" And the captain's forces found themselves overwhelmed. They started to pull back a bit, trying to settle their defenses along the way.

@gancelot@ "Tch!" Meanwhile, the flying knight rose his blade to defend. "Duck down!" He called to Alexis, rushing over to said creatures, swinging his blade through them effortlessly.

"Are you guys the Knights of the Round Table?" she smiled.

"AAGH!!" she screamed, ducking down from the imps and sword.

As many of the tailed imps were sliced away into dust.

He simply gave the knights a nod. "What's happened?"

@drystan@ "That we are, madam. Though we are more well known as the Noble Knights." He gave her and Akiza a gentle smile. "Were we in more peaceful times I would gladly greet you both with a melody. Alas..."

"Err...thanks?"

This guy was flirt...

@artorigus@ "I'm afraid our forces are in the midst of an enemy attack. We've been pinned on all sides." He turned. "But it's nothing to worry yourselves over. If you seek refuge within' our castle walls, I will promise you all safe harbor."

"Need a hand actually?"

@artorigus@ "A hand?" He turned, surprised.

@gancelot@ "Tch...we can't stay here." And the knight flew off quick, trying to avoid more battle.

And suddenly, the energy alien appeared. "I sense a huge evil force, above."

"Could you be more-" Looking up, he gawked at a massive craft sailing out of the dark clouds that was heading for the castle.



"GAAGH!!" he gaped in shock.

"Uh, I don't think they're giving us a choice to stay elsewhere." she gritted, pointing at some fallen angels leading a large demonic dragon toward them.

"...well that's a problem for you guys."



From where they all stood, Kite just looked up at the airship. "Tsch... if that's Nightshroud's forces..." He quickly looked over. "Let's not waste any time. We'll try and clear them out before they're reinforced." Then he quickly drove towards the castle.

"It...it's huge!?" He gasped.

"Tch, let's move then!" He raced inside.

@artorigus@ "This can't be...!" He looked at the ship in horror and rushed back in. "Drystan, with me!"

@drystan@ "Milord!" He followed with the soldiers.

She followed in too. "This is getting nuts..."

@gancelot@ "!" He grunted, stopping. "No..."

[AnT]

"Hahahahaha!!" a sinister cackle was heard from the top of the dragon.

"The heck? Some kind of jester?" she gritted, spotting the figure.



"You the one who jest, m'lady. It is I, Loki. Lord of the Aesir!" he greeted, bowing.

Actually, the gang were still a ways from the castle, which meant the ship had room to drop bombs down on them.

"WE GOT BOMBS COMING!!" he shouted.

Quickly, he held up a card. "Photon Thrasher!!"

In a flash, the monster was summoned, shooting up to cleave some of the bombs out of the sky.



"Carve a path through, and don't steer off the path!"

"Right!"

"Rose Tentacles!" She rose up a card, and a plant appeared, whipping the bombs out of the air.

@artorigus@ "Duelists! I should have known...stories of you people have spread."

"So you know us?"

@gancelot@ "...good sir. we have no quarrel with your unit. Kindly allow us to leave in peace, please..." He didn't want to fight. Especially considering he can't take all of this on his own.

@loki@ "Oh don't you go with the 'we come in peace' card. I really don't buy that, since our master sent us to wipe you all out." Cackling, all flamboyantly, he danced on the dragon.

Yeah, this guy seemed like a joke, except that he commanded this army. Well if this is a Duel Monsters world, then maybe she can unleash her deck on...

"Where's my deck?! Any of them?" she gritted, nervously. She couldn't find her Ice Deck. Not even her Cyber Angel Deck, but she prefer her Ice Deck, since its her strongest-

And the dragon unleashed a black energy beam from its mouth, at the knight.

"You guys might be superheroes in this world." she giggled.

"Really?" Oh that sounded so awesome in his head. So much, his ego was starting to rise.

"...it doesn't surprise me." Kite remarked, just making sure that Photon Thrasher kept clearing out the bombs. "Word of mouth must have spread after we helped clear out the fortress."

@gancelot@ "Tch!" He grunted and tried to fly out of the way, though it hit the pegasus. He shakily fell toward the ground. "Hold on!" He grunted.

"Me either." He nodded.

"Huh...how about that..."

[AnT]

"Gch!" he gritted, spotting the ship shooting bombs, not at them, but at the castle. "Man, we gotta knock that ship down. Maybe we can blast that thing with our cards."

"Unlikely. I spot strange energies around that ship; a force field that may endure Duel Monster attacks. But given the nature of this world, dueling the captain of that ship should take it down."

"Oh boy..." she gulped, holding onto the knight.

[YolkaEd]

"Isn't that always the way..." he remarked. "Then the issue becomes getting to the captain."

[kelik]

"Then if that's what we have to do..."

"We should find a way up there then." She rose her card. "Black Rose Dragon could help with that..."

"In that case, my Stardust can carry the rest..."

@gancelot@ And the pegasus crashed onto the battlefield, the knight fell off and onto the ground. "Guh!"

[AnT]

It wasn't a great fall for her, either, as she barely could move her pained body. "I really wish this was a dream..." she groaned.

And alas, they were surrounded by many imps and beasts, all training their sights on them, waiting for the word to kill them.

@loki@ "Ahahahhaha!!" On the dragon, he floated down toward them. "Kill on my command and three....two....one..."

"Hold on!" Glancing at Mimi and Aichi, "These guys don't have a deck. They could get in serious trouble if they go with. Uh, Tori, you and I will stay with them."

"My, you're such a gentleman." she giggled.

"Uhh...thanks?" he sheepishly gritted, blushing as he rubbed his head.

"Right." With a simple nod, he looked over at Yusei and Aki. "Then we'll take care of the captain."

"But...oh alright." She sighed.

"Right." He nodded and called his Stardust Dragon.

She hopped on too. "We'll be back soon!" And they rose off quick.

"Good luck..." He called rubbing his head. 'If only...'

@gancelot@ "..." He rose up and grunted. "I won't...!"

And suddenly a large figure dropped between them all, unleashing great winds everywhere...it was Great Tornado of Elemental Hero fame! He stood between Alexis and the jester with folded arms.

"*whistle* Man this place is awesome! It really does feel like a dream!"

[AnT]

An Elemental Hero! But that means...!

@loki@ "Who dares?!" The imp shouted.

Looking back at the castle, he can see explosions near the right side, behind it. "There appears to be a great battle over there."

"Aw man! Knights must be in trouble."

From the ship, missles shot right at the trio.

[YolkaEd]

Though he seemed ready as he quickly brought out a card. "Galaxy Knight!"

With a quick yell, the knight shot out from his card, swiftly slashing down the missiles as they came towards them.



"The faster we go, the quicker we can disable them. Don't hold back!"

[kelik]

"Sup?" Said a brown haired kid, standing next to Alexis. "Heya, Alexis!" He ignored Loki.

@gancelot@ "?" He looked over at the boy.

"Really? Oh geez...we have to do something!" She looked at Yuma.

'This is getting bad...'

"Right!" And the dragon kept flying up too it struck the side, trying to grind open an opening.

"Right!" Whipping out a card....

A great fiery beast arose from smoke that erupted from the ground.



"ONWARD!!!" he cried, leaping onto the dino's legs as he charged off.

....Leaving his friends behind.


Yeah...

Oh there was an opening, alright; a large hatch, on the ship's belly, where some winged beast flew out of to attack the heroes.

Her eyes struck wide and was stuck that way, as she stared at the boy she never thought would come for her. "J-Jaden...?!"

@loki@ "Well, a Duelist, aye? This outha be unfortunate for me." Grinning, he magically summoned a Duel Disk on his arm. "Unless I duel you, then you'll be sorry."

[YolkaEd]

With a hum, he just glanced over at the hatch, eyes narrowing. "...Thrasher, Knight!" As the two monsters flew up alongside them, he held another card up. "Let's go... Galaxy-Eyes!"

As the two faded, Kite's signature dragon appeared, roaring as it unleashed a photon blast upon the winged beast, intending to push it away from their opening.
