Setting foot in the Paris airport, before waiting for their bags to be carried by the conveyor belts...

Tea could already hear so many people speak French. Dear god, the language barrier just screamed at her; she felt so alien here. "So....anyone have a book on how to speak French?"

"...I'm sure we'll find something like that around here." Yugi remarked, though honestly he was busy looking around the place in awe.

[AnT]

Yea, she did have to admit that this city was as beautiful as they say it is, especially at night. From the airport, they can see the Eifle Tower, even if it is miles from where they are.

[YolkaEd]

It sure was a sight to behold. "...it's a pretty amazing sight. Right, Joey?" He glanced over to see if he had gotten off the plane properly.

[Alien-Child]

Staring at the famous tower, "Wow, it really does look like a radio tower!"

[AnT]

"Kinda looks like Tokyo Tower, to me."

[YolkaEd]

"Yeah... it does, actually."



...why would there be two identical towers on opposite sides of the world?



I'm sure one place took inspiration from the other. "So, where to first?"

[AnT]

"The hotel, I guess." she shrugged. "I think..." Looking around, "Where are we supposed to go?" Checking her ticket, she looked ahead, and- "Huh?"

A suited man, down from the pick-up conveyor area stood there, holding up a sign that had Yugi's name on it...in Japanese, of course.

Yugi blinked. "...guess we're expected." And he slowly approached the man, warily of course. Couldn't be too careful overseas.

[Alien-Child]

"Wonder if he has a limo waiting for us!"

[AnT]

"Muto Yugi, I presume?" the black-suited man asked, in accented Japanese. He shown them a badge from a hotel. "I'm part of the Marriott. Mr. Pegasus booked all competitors, of the World Duel Tournament, to stay at our hotel."

"Oooo!" she squealed, feeling that these are one of those fancy hotels.

"If I may?" Taking their bags onto a cart, he wheeled them out. "Follow me."

[YolkaEd]

"...oh, thanks!" With a smile, he glanced over at the others. "C'mon, let's see what the hotel is like." And he followed.

[AnT]

And once they were outside, a black limo indeed was where the man led them to.

"Oh wow!" she awed, almost in giddy joy. "You were actually right for once, Joey."

[Alien-Child]

"Aren't I always?" He grins

[YolkaEd]

He couldn't help but chuckle a little. "C'mon, let's get in!" And he entered the limo, holding the door open for the other two.

The drive wasn't that long, for the hotel was near the airport. But still was a nice drive before they exited out of the limo when they made it to the hotel, then entered the lobby.



Tea was just all giddy inside.

Yugi was fairly awed as well. "No expenses spared, huh?" he remarked.

[Alien-Child]

"This is more like it!" Joey grinned, "Wish Pegasus gave us the VIP treatment back on the cruise to his island too."

[AnT]

Just when she was going to head for the seat, she spotted some people, sitting on the couches, that made her stomach ill. "Oh no...."



Hearing Tea, the two boys glanced at her....and gawked in shock.

"Well whatta ya know! It's Christmas for me!"

[YolkaEd]

...oh dear. "...Rex and Weevil." He stepped up closer to Téa as he looked to two over. "Are you two here for the tournament too?"

[AnT]

"Well duh!" he scoffed, glaring at Joey. Yes, he still want pay back for all those times he humiliated him, and took his Red-Eyes Black Dragon.

Smirking, as he adjusted his glasses, "It's sheer luck that you're our first opponents. Frankly, I'm overjoyed."

"Yeah... we really feel the same way..." She mutters.

[Alien-Child]

"Beavis, Butthead, how you guys doing?" Joey grinned cockily. Though then he just realized; this is a tournament for trios, but he only sees two. "So mind spoiling who'd be dumb enough to join up with you two?"

Or if maybe someone was forced into teaming up with them. There was always that possibility...

[AnT]

"....uhhhh..." They would've killed Joey for that comment, but for some reason, the mention of their third teammate made them sweat.

"AAAAH!! YUGI!!!" a girl squealed.

And before anyone knew it, someone dived on the short boy and pinned him with a hug.

"GUH!" And that was evidently not something he had expected.



...can't get away from them, huh?

Ooooooh boy.... no need for words.... her face red, death-death glare at this... need I say more...?

They've met several duelist before, hard to keep track of them. (Was she in the filler?)

[AnT]

(Which one? She was in that Kaiba Land Tournament.)

@vivian@ Vivian Wong, one of the competitors in the Kaiba's KC Grand Championship. She was knocked out early by Rebecca, but Vivian was determined to take Yugi's title, and score a date with him. So she convinced his grandfather to help her, by fixing his bad back. She blackmailed Yugi to duel her in exchange for fixing his grandfather's back, after she knocked it back to its poor self.

"Oh my Yugi-Woogy! It's been so long, hasn't it?" she cooed, snuggling him.

Normally, they laugh at Yugi's unfortunate expense, but for some reason, they seem too scared to do that.

"...uh... i-it's been a while, yeah..." Yugi remarked as he squirmed about just a touch.



...from Téa to Rebecca and now her... you're growing to be quite the celebrity.
