Spirit Shores: Lexy and Flipper

The sounds of the soothing waves manage to reach her ears and awaken her consciousness, somehow. "Huh?" Opening her eyes, her vision quickly focuses, allowing her to see a beach before her. "Where...am I?"

Slowly on her knees, Alexis' tried to gather her memories, which were jumbled. "I remembered I dueled...and..."

[kelik]

And if Alexis were to notice, a few feathers flowed over to her side...

A sizable Pegasus was near her, simply watching over to the water, it took a nay.

[AnT]

"Huh?" Looking up, she noticed the winged furball looking at her. "...yeah. I'm dreaming."

[kelik]

"!" Oh she didn't see anything yet. The winged furball flew up in front of Alexis' face, and growled out, scratching at her face with his tiny, almost harmless claws. He was clearly angry.

Angry enough to draw the attention of the pegasus. "?"

[AnT]

"Owowowowowo!!" she cried, trying to swat the furball off her. "Ow!! It's not a dream!!" Rubbing her itching face, she glared at the creature. "Why did you do that for??"

[kelik]

The furball flew back and sobbed a bit.

"I believe he's angry you had let someone down." Said a deep voice, from the sea ahead.

[AnT]

"Huh?" Snapping around, at the sea...

[kelik]

And a dolphin head popped out, and looked at Alexis. "Good day, miss Rhodes. My, I didn't expect to see you out here." He looked at Winged Kuriboh. "Hello, Winged Kuriboh. You look well too."

"?"

[AnT]

"......." She would think she was dreaming, but the scratches on her face were still burning. She can feel them. "...someone must had drugged my food. That has to be the only explanation."

[kelik]

He chuckled a bit. "Aah, you needn't worry about food poisoning, miss Rhodes. What you see is indeed real." He watched her. "Though I have to ask...where is Jaden?"

[AnT]

"........" Okay, this was getting extremely confusing. "Who are you? A-And how do you know my name? And Jaden?"

[kelik]

"Who am...oh, I think I know what the problem is. Just a moment..." Suddenly, the dolphin head ducked down underwater, and sprung out through the air...in a humanoid body!



@aqua@ "...hm, it's nice to stretch my legs once in a while..." He turned to her. "I am Aqua Dolphin, a Neo-Spacian. A pleasure to meet you...or rather, it's a pleasure to meet you again." He smiled.

"......" The furball just stared at the dolphin man with wide, bugged out eyes.

"..." And the pegasus just watched the scene with a head shake.

[AnT]

It was weird enough to see the talking dolphin had a humanoid body, but, "....again? We met before?"

[kelik]

@aqua@ "We have indeed, in another time, another timeline rather..." He said. "Now my dear, are you familiar with the time paradox theories?"

[AnT]

"Well yeah?" she said, remembering reading about the theories on the internet. But what an odd thing to bring up.

[kelik]

@aqua@ "Simply put, we meet within our original time frame. Though I'll need to fill in some details before I dive into that." He turned to the Pegasus. "Could you assist me with this?"

The winged horse nodded and galloped off to some palm trees, and pulled out a white board with a marker.

Oh this is gonna be silly.

[kelik]

@aqua@ "You see, there were originally three separate time frames. The past, the present, and the future..." He started drawing a few pictures up...which were rather detailed surprisingly!



"The past was an era that had the King of Games thrive, and was the time when Duel Monsters was just a small sprout. Only the most dedicated played the game, and the one who stood atop of them all was Yugi Moto, the king of games."



"The present, an era we have originally hailed from. It takes place a few years after the era of the King of Games. This was when Duel Monsters had hit it's peak in popularity, to the point where even newcomers who have never touched the game wanted to duel. Therefore, Kaibacorp had pooled their funds together to create an academy to teach people how to duel...an idea that was almost immediately vetoed by the Unified Education Organization, however Kaiba managed to sidestep this by having majors be taken along with the classes...and bribery helped as well, but that's neither here nor there."



"The future, far into the future might I add. This is where many of the greats had engraved their mark on the history of Duel Monsters, and the game had overtaken the world by storm. As technology advanced, so did the need to keep people invested in the game. So advancements were made not only with the game, but with the mode of play: D-Wheelers were born. Motorcycles that are used to play the game....yes I know, it's quite stunning. However, it worked surprisingly well despite the silly idea. A young man named Yusei Fudo is one of the most well known of these duelists, and he has carried through the harsh days of the dark future with his friends, much like Jaden before him, and the King of Games before him."

[AnT]

"......okay, I stopped listening after card games on motorcycles. Seriously, the dueling school was dumb enough. Even that Sartorius guy seems to be-"

Gasping, her mind began to clear, for she remembered what happened before she passed out. She....she became so invested in the game, especially when she picked up that Number card. So invested, she only cared so much about winning and getting the glory, that she betrayed Jaden. She can frightening remember the look of shock and betrayal on his face, directed at her.

"No...what have I done?!" Stricken in grief and shock, she dropped to her knees. "WHAT HAVE I DONE?!?!?!"

[kelik]

@aqua@ "W.wha?" He turned. "Miss Rhodes...is something amiss?"

He just kept glaring at her.

[AnT]

"I...I betrayed Jaden." she sobbed, scratching her head. in panic. "Oh god, what is WRONG with me??"

[kelik]

If he could talk, oh the things he would say...

@aqua@ "Now now, settle down class." He rose his hands and stepped up to her. "Miss Rhodes, please calm yourself. Take a deep breath, very slowly..."

[AnT]

Though she tried, she ended up crying more than trying to settle down.

[kelik]

@aqua@ He put his hand over her shoulder. "Madam, you must calm yourself...I know Jaden well, and I know even in the darkest of times he won't give up. Whatever you have done to wrong him can be fixed..." He smiled. "You may not believe it, but you and he had a strong friendship in the original timeline."

[AnT]

Rubbing her wet eyes, Alexis tried to calm herself to listen and-

"Azuka..."

"Huh?!" That voice sounded godly, for it came from the sky. Looking up, "AH?!" She felt she indeed was looked down by a god.

[kelik]

@aqua@ "What's wrong?" He asked, not even noticing the dragon behind him. "Believe me, Jaden would never wish for you to be...!" Then he noticed the dragon's shadow. "...I do believe there's a large winged beast behind me?"

Nod

@aqua@ "...a dragon?"

The pegasus also nodded.

@aqua@ "...SWEET SWORDFISH!" He jumped after turning to the sight of the monster.

[AnT]

"Judai Yuki is in the mist of danger." From a cloud, the dragon shown them an image of a broken young boy, with many cards scattered around him. "Sartorius had his young student, Aster, weaken his defenses, when he defeated him, in order to take control of his mind, but something about Jaden prevented that. However, because he cannot see cards tells that this endurance is not very strong. If he is defeated again, he will surely fall to Sartorius' spell."

Seeing Jaden like that just pushed the guilt in her further. "No. It's my fault." Desperately, she stood up, and, "...JADEN!!!!"

[kelik]

@aqua@ "..." This was getting rather serious now.

[AnT]

Sobbing as she gasped for air, "I...I gotta help him. This is my fault! I gotta help him!"

"Yes you can, and you did. I am able to speak with you, for your body holds the Winged Kuriboh card. I linked to the Spirit World through the Winged Kuriboh. I will be able to bring Aqua Dolphin over to Jaden. From there, he can cure his card blindness."

@aqua@ He looked over and nodded. "I'm willing to help however I can!"
