Ren is EXTREMELY obsessive. When he finds something he likes, he'll cling onto it with gusto, and he won't let go under any circumstance. He doesn't like it when people go against him either, he'll snap when he even hears a whisper of someone stabbing him in the back.
Personality:
Ren is onefabulous twisted person. He can be an obsessive, serious person most of the time. If there's something he wants, he'll do everything in his power to get it. God help you if you own it. He has a very unique way of twisting words around to his advantage, and can menipulate a lot of people to do as he pleases. But, behind that, he's actually a pretty silly guy. He's not very serious sometimes, and can even be lazy. He'll still have that same obsession, but more or less like a cat that wants it's treats, he'll whine, moan, and even tease to get what he wants. It's almost like a split personality...

History:
Ren grew up in the suburbs of Neo Domino, under a father who only wanted to best for his son...maybe a bit too much. His father pushed him hard, and demanded that Ren never knew the meaning of the word "lose". This forced Ren to act out in school, in defiance of his father's words (though they did leave an impact on his psyche). During his days in middle school, he made friends with Tetsu Shinjou and Toshiki Kai, and the three of them formed a Duel Monsters club at school. They weren't very good, but they enjoyed their time, and wanted to go to the big leagues one day. Kai wanted to go so badly, it showed. Ren noticed it, so he pushed himself to try harder at the game. He suddenly discovered his hidden talent for seeing, and communicating, with duel spirits. He started winning more games with this power...but he slowly became obsessed with it.
After he abused Tetsu, he had a fallout with Kai, and this forced Kai to abandon Ren...which did not make Ren happy at all. He swore if he met Kai again, he would make him regret abandoning him. Later in life, Ren became a big duelist in the pro leagues, along with his team. He's starting to find the game boring...until a certain deck calls to him that is.
