Crash Town - A Satisfying Conclusion

As he gazed down at the bed he was resting in, he couldn't help but overhear what the others spoke of. ...so... Lawton, Barbara and Malcolm are all imprisoned... A thought crossed his mind, before looking over to the others. "...what about Radley?" he inquired. "If the gangmembers in the mountain spoke the truth... he was dragged into the mountain earlier..."

"Radley has been arrested too... all the members who were imprisoned in the mountain gave up on Malcolm and Radley like the ones we've met and were let go when they were willing to give us all the evidence they need to put the four away for good."

@misty@ "Seems Crash Town is a free town now." She said. "Thanks to you two."

Kalin simply looked back down again with a thoughtful look.

"This town will no longer be filled with whatever Malcolm, Radley and that monster Lawton had in mind again..." He said. "Nor Barbara, thankfully... their laws are now erased forever..."

@misty@ She blinked. "Is something wrong, Kalin?"

"...I'm just... thinking..." Kalin murmured, as he kept looking down.

"...about what?" He asked.

@misty@ She looked over too, a bit curious.

"...laws..." he eventually spoke...

...and then, he looked back at Greiger and Misty. "...even if they were horrible laws... they were what kept Crash Town from simply collapsing on itself..." As he said that, he sighed. "...it's true... with Malcolm and Radley gone, the town won't have to live in fear of having to be sent to the mountain... but with them gone, this place will eventually become lawless..."

He looked down at the ground. "...unless... someone else takes responsibility around here... to change the reputation of this town..."

"....you want to stay behind to help the town be better, correct?" He guessed.

@misty@ "That's true..." She said. "And I'm not sure is Security has plans for this place yet..."

Kalin eventually nodded. "...I've already been living here for the past six months..." he hummed, as he glanced aside. "...and after my tenure as Radley's shield... I have a reputation I need to clear as well..."

Then... he actually smiled a bit. "...but... I think I'm meant to stay here... and help it grow better..."

"...if that's your wish, then so be it..." He smiled. "Just remember to contact Yusei and the others now and then to let them know you're okay..."

@misty@ She smiled at that too. "That's wonderful, Kalin. I'm sure Nico and West will be happy too."

Speaking of whom...

@nico@ @west@ The two came back with a plate full of food, and a glass of water too.

@west@ "Sorry it took so long."

Seeing them enter, Kalin smiled a touch, as he gratefully took the food and water. "...don't worry about it..." he spoke, before he began eating.

He watched with a smile... while deciding to ask the most important question much later... when it's time...

@misty@ She nodded too. "So, you'll be helping Crash Town out. With no one to lead, you'd be a great help. But..." She added. "Crash Town seems like an awkward name if you ask me."

"...I agree..." Kalin mused, as he briefly stopped eating, before he looked towards the town. Somehow... this whole experience had made him think back to the days before the Dark Signers... and the debacle here in Crash Town...

...back then... when he, Yusei, Jack and Crow had been working together... a team which had carried two names... The Enforcers, and...

"...satisfaction..."

"Sorry...?" He asked with a blink.

@west@ @nico@ The siblings looked over too, curious as well.

Slowly, Kalin rose to his feet, whilst looking out of the window by the bed; simply gazing outside. He didn't exactly know why he had said that part out loud... but thinking back to how him and the others had tried uniting Satellite as one...

...and now, it seemed like he was the one most capable of uniting the townsfolk, after the tyranny of Malcolm and Radley had ended. During his time here, he had felt nothing but anguish and misery... not once did he feel satisfaction during any of his duels...

...in fact... the first time he truly did feel satisfied during his time here, was when he had managed to put an end to Lawton's rule of terror, however brief it was...

"...I had an idea for a town name..." he spoke, without looking back at Greiger, Misty or the kids. "...Satisfaction Town..."

"Hmmm.... that sounds pleasing..." He noted. "What do you think...?"

@misty@ "Satisfaction..." She said. "I like it."

@west@ "Me too, Kalin! It sounds great."

@nico@ She smiled. "It has a certain ring to it..."

With a small smile, Kalin nodded as he looked down at the floor. ...if I'm going to repent for what I did as a Dark Signer... I may as well try to better the lives of this town's villagers... he thought to himself, before he turned to look at the others. "...shall we see if... the others would like that name as well?"

He smirked as he crossed his arms. "Of course... and if they don't like it, they'll have to answer to me!"

@misty@ "Well, I don't know if that's needed Greiger..." She sweatdropped.

@west@ "I'll go see what they say then!" He ran off.

@nico@ "Ah, West. Wait up!" She followed.

@misty@ "They're rather eager to help, Kalin."

Seeing their enthusiasm, he couldn't help but smile. "...that's... very good..." he mused, before he sat down on the bed again.

As he saw them running off, he turned to Kalin. "...There's one thing I want to ask of you, Kalin... do you know why Lawton ran off when you apporched him...?"
