A bolt of lightning shot down at it.

However, the instant the lightning seemed to strike the cannonholder... it simply passed through him.



"That was my trap, Dark Illusion. Your Raigeki Break is neutralized." Marik spoke.

@trapper@ "Damn!" He grunted. "Oh well...I'll stomp him out all the same! Lava Golem!"

The golem roared out and stomped forward, about to smash his hand on the cannonholder.

But at that point, a book suddenly revealed itself; shining down on Lava Golem.



"And this is my Spell, Book of Moon. Now... I'll force Lava Golem into face-down defense position!"

With that, a shimmering mirror suddenly appeared, which shattered against the mighty Lava Golem before destroying him.

Narrowing his eyes, he swiftly walked up to the thief, before searching his person. Alright... first the artifact... then I have to make sure that he doesn't keep the Number.

@trapper@ Suddenly, the thief rolled back up, and smirked. "No need for that..." He held up the tablet. "I am a man of my word, after all...here."

Narrowing his eyes, he took the tablet, before looking over it to see if it was indeed the genuine article.

It was genuine...ly a counterfit.

But before Marik could react, smoke filled, the room. As the man cackled and left swiftly.

DAMN IT! He coughed as the smoke covered him.



Well, that was a friggin' waste of time! What was even the point of dueling him if he was just gonna go ahead and leave?! We didn't even get anything from it!

When the smoke cleared, he was gone...

"Ngh..." And suddenly, Bakura came into the room, his hair covering his face. The smoke seemed to have left him drained for some reason...

"Gh..." As he groaned, he looked back at Bakura. "...hey..." he uttered, as he slowly got on his feet. "...are you okay?"

He looked over at Marik...

@bakura@ His expression was very different from before, however. It was actually...gentle. "Where am...I?"

He blinked. ...the gas... suppressed him...? "...you're... in Cairo." he uttered.

@bakura@ "Cairo...Cairo?!" He looked surprised.

Suddenly, the alarm rang out.

@bakura@ "Wagh!?" Which made him jump.

Looking around, he hissed, before grabbing Bakura's wrist. "We have to get out of here!" Quickly, he began pulling Bakura out of the museum, before security could overwhelm them.

@bakura@ "R.right!" He followed along, worried about what "he" might have gotten them into.

Luckily, they escaped before security could find either of them.

Breathing out, he rubbed his neck. Perfect... just who was that guy, anyway? And now he has that tablet...

"...my apologies." he murmured, as he looked around. "...tsch... the thief got away..."



Hah! It's ironic because we have a thief with us, and he got out-thiefed!
