Dian draw his blade and thrust out to pierce through the blast and take the witch with him...except not, he was destroyed right away.

"T.the heck?!" Yeah, Jaden was stunned, to say the least.

Gritting, she tried to see through the smoke, wondering why the guy done that complicated summoning just to self-destruct it and- "HUH?!?"

When the smoke cleared, only the Ice Sorceress was left standing, without a scratch on her.

"....how?!?" she gawked.

@taiyou@ "She's a Number monster. Number monsters can only be destroyed by Number monsters in battle."

Incredible. But he didn't say anything about card effects. But that idea is moot, since Skill Drain negates all of her monster's effects, and that strange card freezes spells and traps. That card was amazing!

I want it.


@taiyou@ "And since I sent my Black Dragon to the grave, its effect allows me to search for a White Dragon Wyverbuster from my deck." After doing so, he then slid a card in his disk. "I set a face-down and end my turn."

The girl was still staring at the strange card, marveling its power.


"...Aaaalexis? Lil help?"


"WHAT?" she barked, annoyed that this punk was---


"Uh..." Shaking her head, "R-Right." Hopping over to him, "Uh, Avian."

"Ok, ok...thanks..." He grunted, looking aside. Boy, something got her. 'Although, with that XY...whatever card out, it'll probably negate my plan too...but...' He blinked. 'I noticed he had to use something off her...a condition cost? Maybe I can drain it.' Worth a shot. "I activate the ability of Captain Gold from my hand!"



"I discard him and search my deck for Skyscraper..."1-5

@taiyou@ "We're not having that." he grinned, removing another card from under the black card.

Lazily, the ice spellcaster shot a blast at the card Jaden had, freezing it.

He grunted at that, and let it go. "...just what I wanted." He grinned. "Next up, I activate Shallow Grave!"



"I'll bet you can't negate spells twice in a row. So pick your card and I'll do the same!"

@taiyou@ "Actually, I still can." he grinned, removing his last Xyz Material card. His Ice Sorceress fired a beam, freezing that card. "Lame-o!"

"SERIOUSLY!?" He gawked. "That's one cheap card!" He rubbed his head...then an idea hit him. "...well, last shot then!" He held up two cards. "Since you can't use her skill anymore, I can use this!"



"So now I'll fuse the Bubbleman and Avian in my hand to form Elemental Hero, Absolute Zero!" And the two cards flew out of his hand and into the air. Suddenly, an icy figure skated down on a chilly path, like Iceman, and he hit the ground, freezing the floor below him.



Well, it fit thanks to the ice theme.

@taiyou@ "Ha! You would've gotten an extra 1000 attack points with those Water monsters of hers, if it wasn't for my Skill Drain." he smuged. Yeah, he was out of Xyz Materials, but it didn't matter. Whatever his plan was, he'll just use this. "Too bad that's not gonna matter."

And his face-down rose.



And sadly, Jaden's HERO returned back to the Extra Deck. Little did Taiyou knew, that card he returned was also a cheap card.

And Absolute Zero was thrown out of the field...which suddenly froze over faster than Taiyou could blink, as well as his partner's field.

"Hey, thanks buddy! When Absolute Zero leaves the field, he takes your monsters with him!" He pointed out at his field. "So chill out, monsters! Bye bye!" And with a snap, the ice frozen around the cards shattered.

All their monsters, even Ice Sorceress, were quickly coated in thick ice before shattering to bits. This also includes Alexis' monsters.

But it didn't matter, because Jaden got rid of that pesky card. "Alright, Jaden!" Too bad he had no monster in his hand, or he could finish that guy...

..oh wait, he does!!

"By the way, I still haven't normal summoned yet." He smirked and rose the last card in his hand. "I summon Blazeman!"



And a fiery hero popped up, taking a stance.

"Blazeman! Finish off Taiyou right now!" He pointed. "Blaze Blitz!"

The hero jumped up in the air and sent down a sizable fireball at the boy. More than enough to finish it.

@taiyou@ "NOOOO!!" he screamed as the flames came at him.

BLAM!!!

And knocked the boy clear off his feet.

"Huh." Seriously, she thought these holograms aren't supposed to have any physical presence to do that. How was he knocked down like that, she wonde- "Huh?"

And she saw that black card right by her feet. It must had been knocked off his disk when he fell. Curious, she picked it up.

"Awyea!" He took a jump and a laugh. "Man, that felt good! I missed dueling so much!"

A shame that Taiyou's trap cards vanished when he lost, but no matter. "I summon Gem-Knight Alexandrite!" Slapping down said card, a rocky knight appeared in front of him.



"But why stop there? I can tribute this card to summon from my deck," he explained, searching a card from his deck. "Gem-Knight Alexandrite!!" Removing his first card off the disk, he replaced it with another.

A larger knight, with crystals sticking out of its body, took its place.



"Attack that girl, now!!" he shouted, pointing at Alexis, who was now wide open.

"Uh oh!"

Pulling out a crystal sword, the knight rushed at her and swipe it at her.

"AAAAH!!" Though it had no physical presence, it still scared her.

"Alexis!" He turned with a gasp and grunted. Jaden wished he could help, but all he has is a monster and an empty hand. "C'mon man, I'm a better target than her!" He shouted, trying to take his attention.

Her expressions turned rather dark, again. "You'll pay for that." she hissed as she drew a card. "DUEL!!"

"I banish my Tidal to Special Summon my Aqua Spirit!" And she slapped down said card.



"And when I banished my Tidal, it allows me to search my deck for a Water monster." Which she did, taking out her deck from her Duel Disk and chose a card. "And I choose my Cold Sleeper!" And she slapped that card on her disk.

When she did, a strange capsule machine, emitting cold smoke, arose from a energy vortex.



"And when I summon this card, I can bring back a Water monster that was destroyed, last turn, like my Tin Goldfish!"

When the machine opened its glass container, cold wind was released, along with the Tin Goldfish, coated in ice.

"Three level 4 monsters. Oh yeah...I saw how your buddy did it." she said, growing a sadistic grin...

...as the number 89 glowed on her forehead.1-5

"What the...?" Jaden turned, rather stunned. "Where'd that number come from...?"

@raizou@ "Oh, so you picked it up, huh girl?" asked Raizou with a mischievous smirk.

"I overlay all of my monsters to summon Ice Sorceress!!"

All of her monsters were fed to a digital dark vortex on the ground, which reawakened the icy witch out of the vortex, this time on Alexis' side.The number 89 glowed on her shoulder, like it did on Alexis' forehead.

He gritted his teeth a bit, not liking the feel of this at all. "...Alexis...you sure this is a good idea...?" He wasn't.

"Shut it, nerd!" she barked. Snapping back to the battle, "Attack!!!"

Whirling her staff, the witch fired an icy blast right at the crystal knight. The monster indeed was overpowered, however, it was still standing.

@raizou@ "Using my field spell, I can send a rock monster from my deck to the grave."

"But it doesn't protect your life points!" she shouted, pointing at him.

@raizou@ "Guess not, but the card I put in my grave was my Revival Golem, and when it was sent there, I can Special Summon it to the field." And he took it out of a slot, below his gauntlet and slapped it to his disk.




"I don't think so!" Removing a Xyz Material from her monster card, "I negate it, so it STAYS in the grave!"

And the muddy golem exploded the moment it set foot on the field.

"Oh geez..." He grunted a bit. Alexis was really off her rocker now...this seemed to be quite a thing for her, though now it seems worse. Jaden really needed to step things up. 'I gotta finish things now!' He drew.

He squinted his eyes. "Alexis...lil help?" Though he was worried she wasn't in the mood to...

"Am I your glasses or something? Go get some real ones!!" she frowned. "And hurry up!"

"...yeah, great..." He grunted. Well, this is a problem. Jaden has no idea what he drew, it was completely blank, and there was no helping hand. All he had was Blazeman, and thankfully that pesky Skill Drain was gone...still, what to do. "...ngh..." Jaden squinted his eyes, trying to make out the card as best as he can...he noticed his hand shook a bit. 'W.what the...? Am I shaking...?' He grunted. "C'mon, pull it together..." He grabbed onto his card.

She just wanted to get this over with and trounce this punk. "Oh for the....It's O-Oversoul, nerd!!"

"H.hey, gimme a break..." He grunted.

"She's lying! It's Fifth Hope!" Shouted a female voice from the crowd.

"?" He looked over his shoulder. "Where'd...?"

"Just play it! C'mon! You can do it, Jaden!" Clearly the girlish voice knew him, but no one knew where it came from.

"Shut it, little girl!!" she barked. "Go back to playing as a boy!!"

"DANGIT! How'd you know it was me?!" Said a little girl in a dark school uniform, sitting between two Hikari students with binoculars. "And stop bein' all angry and pouty, it's so not cool to Jaden!"

"Blair..." That somehow made him feel better, it also gave him an idea. "I activate Blazeman's skill!"

You can send 1 "Elemental HERO" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, except "Elemental HERO Blazeman", and if you do, this card's Attribute, ATK, and DEF becomes the Attribute, ATK, and DEF of the monster sent to the Graveyard by this effect, until the end of this turn. If you activated this effect, you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except Fusion Monsters. You can only use 1 "Elemental HERO Blazeman" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

He searched his deck. "...errr..."

"The black one, right? I see it! Right there!" She shouted.

"Err..."

"Right there! I know what you're thinking!" Well, considering how often she studies Jaden's matches...

"Right!" He took it. "I add Stratos to my hand, and Normal Summon him to the field!"



"Statos' Skill! I can destroy any amount of spell or trap cards equal to the E-HEROES I control, other than himself." And Blazeman did indeed count. "So let's get rid of your Catapult Zone for safety's sake!"

Stratos rose in the air and launched powerful winds at the card.

The winds spread wide and far, ripping apart the rocky warzone into smoke. When the dust cleared, they were back in the park.

"Not done yet, I activate Fifth Hope!"



"Sending Captain Gold, Shadowmist, Avian, Clayman and Bubbleman back to the deck!" He did so and shuffled. 'It all comes down to these last two draws...' He gulped.

"Alright!" He pumped his fist. "I activate King of the Swamp's skill from my hand to add Polymerization to my hand!"



After Blair pointed that out, he held it out. "Now I'll use it to fuse Blazeman and Stratos together to make Elemental Hero Great Tornado!"



"Great Tornado's skill! He cuts all of my opponent's monster's attack power in half!" He pointed. "So let's do this!"

Great Tornado lifted into the air, and brought down a hail of wind storms down on the field.1-5�1-5
