Since the World Carnival tournament, Heartland has been quite a hot spot for dueling. Almost more so than Neo Domino at the moment. Of course, where you'll find duelists, you'll also find card shops. Places that sell up to date/top of the line cards to many duelists who want to hone their skills in this competitive game.
@shin@ "Aaaand done!" Said a green haired man with rather thick glasses on (Carly level glasses mind ye), finishing the last touches on a sign. His family shop wasn't very well known, not like the legendary Kame Game of the Moto family was, but it's been around Heartland for some time. Business looked bleak after the former owners passed, but after the tournament, things started picking up once again. "Doesn't look too bad, doesn't it?" He looked over at the check out station...
At a small black cat, curled up. Who simply meowed at the man.

@misaki@ And one young woman, behind the desk counter...just sat there, reading a magazine. Once in a while, she would check the store, keeping an eye on the kids who were playing card games on tables. Even people, this day and age, would play Duel Monsters the old-fasion way...while still using D-Gazers. When using D-Gazers while playing the game on the table, the monsters, on top of their respected cards, would be the size of action figures.

@shin@ He came back inside after hanging his sign, and looked around the shop with a smile. Always did his heart good to see duelists face each other in the shop. "Hm?" He looked over at Misaki, his silent niece. Ever since that...day, he's been trying to find a way to get her to be a little more social with the game. If only... The doors suddenly opened...  (Because everyone's going with the actual names, it would be silly to keep with a fake name, so Ashen and Rai are back to their original names, Aichi and Kai!) "Wow..." He looked around the shop as he stepped inside. |

He looked over at the girl and blinked. "Ah? Is this..." @shin@ "Card Capital!" Said the man, as he stepped up. "It's your one stop shop for duel monsters, of course!" He smiled. "You must be new." He looked over. "Oh, yes. I am...I just learned how to play the game not too long ago..." @shin@ "Is that so? Well, there's no better time to start learning." "Huh?" He blinked. @shin@ The man smiled. "Well, there's going to be a shop tournament in about a week, and we're having special discounts for our customers. Not to mention loads of chances to practice with other players." He pointed out his tables. "Whoa..." He looked surprised at that. |

@sakura@ She gave the man a"Thanks" and walked down the racks. There were many cards, some of sports, others were trading cards of various TV shows and of course cards like Duel Monsters and others of battling monsters. There were even toys and books relating to the cards. One of said books caught her eye. It was pink and right down the spine it said her name, 'SAKURA'. With her finger, she slid it out and took a look.  The design was really cute. Curiously, she unlocked the latch and opened it. Inside, there were Duel Monster cards. Monsters, Spells, Traps and the like. Each one had a different image of a human-like creature, animal or even item, though with a pink hue. She had seen a lot of Duel Monsters around, from kids in school and the streets, to the magazines and TV. Never have she seen these kinds. |

"This came into the store's possession a while ago, though I'm not sure how." Only the original owners knew for sure, but of course he didn't want to bring them up in front of Misaki. "Hm?" Aichi looked over too. |
