"Gnh...!" With a snarl, Marik stepped back as he clutched his head; glaring at the man. Somehow... this reminded him... ...of him..."...get out of my head...!" he growled.

"Are you feeling some fever?" he smirked, holding up a tiny bottle of water. "Water from the Nile can clear that up."

"Ngh...!" He closed his eyes whilst gritting his teeth; doing his very best to fight the hypnotic effect this was having on him. ...this isn't right... he's dead... dead and long gone... so why does it feel like he's coming out...?!His eyes opened as he glared at the pouch; where the dark aura came from. "...what... do you have in that pouch?!" he uttered in a semi-demanding tone.

"Not for sale, I'm afraid. But you're a tough customer." he laughed, wagging the bottle. "But it is my good luck charm."

"...I'm... not buying...!" Marik growled; starting to make a vague connection between the searing headache, the hypnotic effect, and the dark aura. "...just... tell me what kind of... cursed charm you wield in that pouch!"

"Cursed?!" he frowned, as the spell suddenly stopped. "Shame you, girly man! That card gave me gift of luck; shining me with willing customers."

As he caught his breath from the spell relieving itself, he glared at the peddler. "...willing is the last word I'd describe that as... you're brainwashing people into buying your worthless junk!" he spat.

"Rude girly man!!" he shouted, his arms shaking in anger. "You have dishonored my ancestors and my goat!!"
And said goat, sleeping beside him, just lazily 'baaah'd'.
"Ooo, I could be giving you the fist of life if I wasn't skin and bones with a round belly." he pouted, lifting his pudgy belly over his bony upper body before dropping it.

His eyes narrowed in disgust. "...well, if I'm mistaken, why don't you show me this supposed 'good luck charm'?!" he uttered. After the experiences of Battle City, brainwashing was not something he looked fondly upon, especially when used for petty purposes such as this.

"That will be 100 pounds to show my sacred treasure." he grinned, waiting to receive money.

"Money-grubbing..." Marik hissed... and then, an idea popped into his mind. "...I have a better idea." At that point, he held out a deck of Duel Monsters cards. "We will duel."

"Okay-dokey!" And suddenly, out of no where, he drew out a sword and pointed it at him. "Engard!!"

Marik stepped back with a startled expression for a moment. "...n-no, I meant... a duel." He held up the deck again. "Duel Monsters. You have a card pouch, so you do play the game, I assume."

"Oh..." Looking disappointed, he tossed the sword away...which sounded like it hit a cat. He picked up his pouch...
...and pulled out a spanking, fancy, red Duel Disk!!!

"...hm!" With a nod, Marik pulled out his own Duel Disk; the same variety he had kept after the conclusion of Battle City. Sliding his deck into it, he gave the peddler a nod. "...let's duel!"

Narrowing his eyes, he drew. [dice=5][dice=5][dice=5][dice=5][dice=5] [dice=5] Seeing the last card he drew, he nodded. "...I will discard Gravekeeper's Commandant to draw one Necrovalley to my hand!" he said, as he did just that. "And I will play that card right now!" "Next, I activate Allure of Darkness; letting me draw two cards." As he held that card out for the peddler to see, he drew his cards. [dice=5][dice=5] "And then, I banish a Dark monster from my hand." As he did that, he looked back at his opponent's field. "...now, I will summon Gravekeeper's Spear Soldier!" Marik's eyes widened, before an explosion erupted around him. "Agh...!" LP: 2000 Gritting his teeth, he glared at the peddler. "You'll regret that. Spear Soldier, crush his Spirit!" With a yell, the spear soldier rushed to impale the pot before him.

And another card stood up; Defense Draw. It unleashed a shockwave which bounced the attacker away from the demon jar.
"The store is closed, until next turn." Grinning, he drew a card, as accordance to the trap's rules.

"And now I sacrifice my Spirit," he announced, as said monster faded within a small twister. "To summon AirKnight Parshath!" "Now make sliced corn dogs out of him!" the old man shouted, pointing at the Gravekeeper. The centaur charged right for him, slicing him with his swords.

And... the centaur was suddenly impaled on the spear. A small smirk crossed his lips. "Did you forget about Necrovalley? All Gravekeepers have their ATK and DEF increased by 500 on this field." Indeed; the numbers didn't lie. Gravekeeper's Spear Soldier: 1500 ATK-->2000 ATK

"No I did not!" he grinned, slotting in a card. "Have a freebie, on me." And because of this card, the Gravekeeper would get, not only weaker, but losing touch of the field spell. This was because of the centaur stabbing the old man with a lance, despite being empaled. ATK: 1500 -> 700

However, while the lance seemed to have impaled the gravekeeper... the warrior suddenly faded away. And a smirk crossed his lips. "...my trap card, Dark Illusion, negates the activation of a Spell Card that targets my Gravekeeper, before destroying it. Your Forbidden Lance is no more." Indeed; at that point, the spear soldier suddenly appeared to break the lance, before driving the spear further into the centaur.
