Luna once had a naive outlook in life, but ever since Domino City's destruction when she was a child, she saw a grim outlook. Especially as many close people to her have passed away, especially her own mother. She once had hope she would be found as there wasn't a body found, but over the years she has given up hope.
She also gets humiliated a lot by her father. Luna loves him a lot, but she wish he wouldn't be so goofy or clingy. But she acknowledge her father's concern for her is because she's everything to him especially as their 'family' is gone.

Luna is brave, strong and determined. She refuses to back down and thrives to go forward, as she has learned there's nothing to look back on. Deep down there's still some pieces of her naive silly self, as she has a mystic side to herself and her deck, while darkish, is based on magical girls.

Luna is the sole child of Joey Wheeler and Mai, growing up she was sweet and innocent child who even shared her father's determination. With her father's friends, she gotten close with them and their families even. However, these cheerful days came to an end when Domino City was destroyed.... Luna lost her mother, and while her body was never found, most believed she was dead and Luna kept on hope she'll be found... but as the years passed, it decreased. Her father changed his name out of the grief and tried his best to move on. Especially teaching some kids who reminded him about himself, Kaiba and Yugi how to play card games.
When Luna got older, she left on a journey for herself. She still keeps in contact with her father every now and then, but she mainly wants to find her own path.
