Kame Shop: Confidence Broken

Deep sigh.

Kame Shop seemed empty at this time of day. Probably because it was getting fairly close to the end of the day.

The young man sat outside a bench, looking at a letter. 'Pegasus sent one of his guys to gimme this...' He wondered what it was, but didn't quite open it up yet. Why? Well, perhaps it was anxiety... "Hm?" He looked over the letter at someone coming up.

He came up and blinked. "Jesse?"

"Howdy, J." He got up. "How're you doin?"

"A bit better...I just came to get a new deck."

"New deck?"

He arrived, panting. "...yeah... new deck... new HERO deck..."

At that point, they arrived as well.



"...oh, Jessesaurus!" Tyranno heaved. "Small world, huh?"

[kelik]

He looked over at everyone and smiled. "Heya! How's it goin'?"

"Hm? What's that letter?"

"Oh, this?" He pointed at it. "Pegasus sent it to me right after he left. The guy who gave it to me said it should help my deck along till the Rainbow Dragon is ready."

"Rainbow wha...??" He blinked.

"I take it its your top card?" Hibiki said as she walked in.

"...oh, it's not like that." Tyranno pointed out. "Jessesaurus' Crystal Beast set isn't complete yet."



"...it's... not complete?"



"Nope." Tyranno noted. "I'm guessing that the Rainbow Dragonsaurus is the last card you need to complete the set, right, Jessesaurus?"

[AnT]

They would see the stout old man racing behind the counters, with a phone in hand; panic in his eyes. "I looked everywhere, Yugi! I brought it with me to a friend for her to fix it up!! But then I learned I lost it, half way there!!"

"Okay... okay, half-way there... but that could be anywhere in town! Uh..." The voice on the other line sounded equally panicked at the moment. "Uh... what part of town did you say she lived in? Did you have to take a bus or the subway to get there?"

[kelik]

"Pretty much." He said. "Though Pegasus said this card is also part of the set. Just a small fix to help my deck's power problems."

"Really?" He looked over. "Well, we could talk about it while I'm looking around." He walked in.

"Sounds like a plan." He put it away and followed.

"I wonder if it's a good time to go in..." He noted, following. "Considering the owner looks to be in a panic..."

"The subway!! I was heading out for the Meadow Suburbs when I noticed it's gone!!" he sobbed.

[YolkaEd]

"The subway..." Yugi's voice trailed off. "...ah! We're not too far from the subway station! We'll look for your card, grandpa!"



"What, in the subway station? Finding it there's gonna be next to impossible, Yugi..."



"Well, we have to try..." A brief amount of silence... "We're going to look for the card, grandpa; don't you worry!"



They just blinked as they overheard the conversation.

"Um..." She wasn't sure how to answer her brother. She would rather not go in when the shopkeeper is like this... but then she'll have to deal with her brother's moping till they can find another place to buy cards.

"I think it'll be fine, Koyo." He came in and saw him. "Hm?"

"Oh please do. I---" Seeing people out the window. "Uh, I have customers." Hanging up, he hurried around the desk and reached for the door; opening it. "Uh...hello?"

"Uh, hey, sir..." He said, sheepishly. "Did we, uh, came at a bad time...?"

"...um... hello again..." Syrus spoke as he entered after Jaden.



"...wow, this is the place, huh..." Tyranno mused as he glanced around; along with the gang members following him in.

"Uh.... yeah, we're looking for some cards."

He nodded. "J here is lookin' fer a deck, right?"

"Do you have any Vision Hero and Masked Hero decks?"

[AnT]

"Uhh..." Though he was in a hurry, he couldn't turn down customers. "Uh...y-yes, but please hurry. I'm in a state of emergency."

"....yeah, we did came at a bad time..." He said, sighing. "Come on... let's find those HERO cards for Jay..."

As they tried to get the new hero decks, Hibiki hummed and looked around.

[kelik]

He nodded. "Sorry. We'll make it quick..." He looked at the case...but a lot of the cards were shifting between white and normal print. "..." He squinted his eyes a bit, looking a bit worried.

"Hm? Somethin' wrong?"

"Nothing...just can't seem to find the deck..."

"There's a starter deck right there." He pointed in the case.

"Oh, right. There it is."

He hummed... looking at the rare cards he has...

"Hmm..." Taking a box, "Sorry, but all I have is a Masked HERO deck. They never came with a Vision HERO structure deck."

[Ninetalesuk]

"Well... Vision HERO is the newest HERO group... their Fusion forms have just been released... but, Masked HERO on the other hand..." He smiled.

[kelik]

He nodded and took it, handing him some cash. "It's fine. I think this'll do for now."

[AnT]

"Alright alright..." he sighed, walking over to the cashier. "That'll be 8000 yen."

[kelik]

"Done!" He payed up.

"That's that." He smiled. "How bout a test drive?"

"Gimme a sec. I wanna see what's in this...." He took out the deck...and much like the other cards, they shifted from white to normal quite a bit. "...mm." He looked troubled.
