Name:
Kalin Kessler
Nicknames:
Kiryu, God of Death
Age:
19
Gender:
Male
Residence:
Crash Town
Deck:
Infernity Deck
Weaknesses:
Mainly guilt from his tenure as a Dark Signer, which, most unfortunately, he remembers in perfect detail. While he has gotten over it to a certain extent, bringing up that subject is a surefire way to get the guy to lose his composure.
Personality:
In the past, Kalin was a relatively kind person, who aspired to unite those who needed it and spread hope; though he grew more possessive and brash as time went on. As a Dark Signer, his hatred against The Enforcers had driven him off the rails into pure insanity; cackling like a madman during his duels, and stopping at nothing to kill those he felt deserved it. However, when he returned to life, he immediately realized the implications of his actions, and grew regretful, depressed, and suicidal as a result of it.

History:
Part of the Enforcers as they once attempted to conquer Satellite, Kalin happened to be the leader of the team; having given Yusei, Jack and Crow the idea to begin with. However, after the group had managed to conquer the entirety of Satellite, Kalin grew fiercely protective of the city, to the point where he was actively injuring any challengers. It got to the point where Jack and Crow eventually abandoned The Enforcers, which left Kalin and Yusei on their own.
However, when Kalin began taking extreme measures to take out Sector Security, Yusei left him as well, something that made him obsessed with keeping the rule on Satellite going forever, alongside his former teammates. This behavior got him in a fight against several Sector Security officers, and not even the arrival of Yusei, Jack and Crow was enough to save him. To add insult to the injury, in spite of Yusei's attempts to keep Kalin from being arrested, Kalin misinterpreted this as Yusei actively getting Kalin behind bars. Enraged, Kalin was subsequently taken by Sector Security.
For the longest time, Kalin was tortured behind bars, and his resistance faded once his deck was confiscated. As he was rotting away in a dark prison cell, a voice compelled him to return to the mortal coil as a Dark Signer, if he had unfinished business to deal with in this lifetime. His hatred for Yusei and The Enforcers firmly rooted, Kalin accepted. He died some time later in his cell, but was brought back to life as a Dark Signer.
Some time later, Kalin confronted Yusei and Crow, and engaged the former in a Shadow Turbo Duel; one which almost ended in the victory of Kalin and the Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu, were it not for Yusei's subsequent crash and critical injury. With a maniacal cackle, Kalin rode off whilst telling Yusei to suffer as he had once did. The two of them eventually meet up during the final confrontations of the Signers against the Dark Signers, with Kalin once again summoning Ccapac Apu.
This time, however, Yusei was able to counter against Ccapac Apu, which caused the Earthbound Immortal to trash the stage of their duel. As Kalin was struggling to stay in the game, Yusei extended his arm towards his former comrade; explaining the truth of the matter regarding Kaling's arrest, and referencing one occasion where Kalin had saved Yusei's life. However, Kalin merely declines, knowing that it wouldn't matter in the end. After that, Majestic Star Dragon destroyed the rampaging Earthbound Immortal, and after making peace with Yusei, Kalin perished once more; content that the Enforcers had their true final duel.
Thankfully, the defeat of the King of the Netherworld proved to resurrect the Dark Signers back to their human selves, Kalin included. However, as he had willingly become a Dark Signer, Kalin remembered everything he had done, which caused him to sink into depression. To this end, because of the guilt he felt, he ventured away from everything he knew and into a place ruled by Dueling; Crash Town. Here, he intended to simply keep dueling until he would eventually die; having nothing else to live for.
Anything Else?
Since the movie would take place before the Crash Town arc, it would make sense to have his character be in that stage before moving on, right?
