Also, she has an addiction to dueling that she's trying to control. But she can't seem to.

Alexis is quite the headstrong girl, always making sure she does right in school work, and even athletics. While she's not cruel, she's pretty strict, scolding people, who laze around, to work harder. Because she's sometimes focused, she look so cold, and doesn't bother to talk to new people, unless otherwise. Only her friends can get her to relax.
Her parents have high aspects of her, wanting her to succeed in life better than they. She would do whatever it takes to make them proud, by being the best she can at anything she does, even Duel Monsters.
But, playing Duel Monsters was making her lose focus on her work, which was why her parents sent her, and her brother to a private school.

But her brother, Atticus, being the laid back slacker, introduced her to Duel Monsters in order for her to relax. She couldn't help but try it out, like a kid hesitantly tasting something new. But then, she was hooked, playing it all the time with others. Duel Monsters was how she met Zane Truesdale, who was a master at it, and someone she grew a slight crush on.
But her addiction worried her parents. After she got some scolding, she and her brother were sent to a private school, hoping it'll get her mind off of Duel Monsters. Alexis is now striving to focus on her studies, and forget about Duel Monsters, so she won't disappoint her parents.
