Personality:
Before facing Yuma, Shark was a bitter, uncaring Duelist. Cold and malicious, Shark flaunts his power by taking the Decks of the people he defeats, making them squirm in the process. However, he had some honor when he makes promises and lost.
After being defeated by Yuma, he became humbled in a way. He's no longer overly cruel to people and seems to put more faith in bonds and friendship.
Now, Shark can be classified as a typical loner, being indifferent and cool about most things, usually sporting a stoic face or scowl. He prefers to be alone and doesn't follow a crowd He also has displayed little interest in school. However, he still skipped class regardless when he decided to come back and would idly spend his time to the school's roof, but is said to be good at studying.
Despite Shark's aloof and cold nature, many students at school respect his Dueling skills and is secretly popular with female students. Shark shown to have a soft side, but only shown it to two people so far - his sister, Rio Kastle, and his friend, Yuma. Regardless of this, he can be insensitive and cold to both, causing fighting and bickering between them.

History:
Shark was born with Rio as twins and lived in Heartland City. When her sister fell into a coma due to a fire, he became bitter and uncaring when he was tricked to be disquilified.
Ever since then, he became a cruel bully and taking Duel Monsters decks from others as Ante. But, his life changed when facing Yuma and was defeated by him.
After the Duel against Scorch and Chills with Yuma as his tag-team partner, Shark became a loyal friend to Yuma.
Shark entered a tournament to get revenge on a certain Duelist for what happened to his sister and nearly fell to darkness if it wasn't for Yuma saving him.
With the tournament over and Yuma as the champion, everything seems normal now...
...again, for now...
