As they all sat down, Crowler eyed the gathered students. "...right, this should be everyone..." he hummed. "...welcome to the Duel Monsters club, everyone."

He just sat silently.

He couldn't contain himself, as evidanced by him madly shuffling through his deck.

"Mindy!!! Stop it!!" her voice could be heard outside the room.

And the black-haired girl shoved Alexis into the room. "You owe me a date with that hunky guy if you win! Uh...sorry, Mr. Crowler! She had....uh....stiff legs. KayseeyaBYE!!"

And she slammed the door, keeping Alexis in the class.

"......dammit..." she hissed.

...no way... she signed up, too?



Humming, Crowler glanced in her direction. "...ah, Ms. Rhodes. Nice of you to show up." he mused irritably, before he motioned for the desks. "Take a seat; we're about to begin."

"Oh, heya. I didn't know you were into Duel Monsters too." He smiled, waving at her.

[Ninetalesuk]

"Hmmm..." He drummed his fingers.

Without a word, Alexis took a seat nearby. Seemed like only those three boys took part in the club. She could've sworn she saw more signa-Oh wait, there were three more in the back. One of them dressed like a princess.

Mom and dad will kill me if they found out...

"...right; I think we can begin with introductions." Crowler mused. "Each of you say your name, and the type of deck you use. And keep it brief; we're not here for an oral exam." Then, he cleared his throat. "For instance, I am Vellian Crowler de Medici, a practicioner of the Ancient Gear deck. Now, from the back left." he said, pointing towards the one in the back, to the left.



Syrus gulped. ...great; that means that I'm the last one to introduce myself.

But suddenly, Jaden shot up from his chair and grinned. "My name is Jaden Yuki, and my I use an Elemental Hero deck!" Super heroes, very fitting.

Tch... I don't want to share what type of deck I'm using, but... He picked up a pencil and chucked it at Jaden's head. "I am Chazz Princeton. My deck is a Dragon deck."

@rose@ "Like," the princess-like girl stood up from the upper corner of the bleacher-like desk, "My name is Princess Rose, and my deck totally consist of frogs. Like my totally hunky darlings, Jeffrey, Roosevelt and Percival."

".............." This is why I'm trying to quit.


@dimitri@ "Um..." a shy-looking boy with spiky brown hair barely stood up. "I'm Dimitri...and uh...well I don't have much of a theme yet...uh...yeah, I'm done..." And he dropped back down.

Sheesh! Make us even more depressed, why don't you?

A girl with thick violet hair stood up, giving predator eyes at Syrus. "I'm Missy. My deck...an unstoppable insect deck. Oh yeah!" With a vicious grin at Syrus, she sat back down.

She felt that if she announced herself, then it's official that she failed to stop playing Duel Monsters. But everyone was looking at her, so...

"Um..." Standing up. "Alexis Rhodes. Cyber Girl deck." Sighing, she sat back down. Fast food register job...here I come...

"...hm..." Humming, Crowler wrote all this down, before he glanced at Syrus. "...you're the last one."



Syrus winced at that. "...ah..."



"...well? Get on with it."



Gulping, Syrus stood up, and closed his eyes tightly. "...S...S-Syrus T-Truesdale... Vehicroid deck." And he quickly sat back down.



"...Truesdale, hm..." Crowler nodded, writing this down as well. "...and that's all there is. Guess not as many felt the need to sign onto this club..."

"!" His stumbled forward from the pencil. While feeling his head, he looked around. "?"

"................" And this was his reaction at what Rose had said. Grade S Weirdo...

Truesdale?!? She gaped at Syrus. He's he related to...? Not a good time to ask that question to him, so she'll save it for later.

"Right; only seven here; eight, including me..." Crowler hummed. "...to start things off, why don't we have some introductory duels? Let's see... you, Ms. Rhodes?" he said, pointing at Alexis. "Pick someone to duel." And quickly, he looked at the others. "And saying "Pick me, pick me" will not make you more eligible for a choice, so be quiet!"



Quickly, Syrus looked away from Alexis. Please don't pick me, please don't pick me, please don't pick me...!

"Ah...mmmm." He sat down, trying not to shout out the very thing Crowler said not to do. So his leg shook eagerly while he waited.

"Um...okay..." She knew two duelist she was interested to duel. She really like to get even with Jaden for annoying her today...but right now, she had some questions she like to ask to the shy kid....the one with the light-blue hair.

"Syrus."

...aw, nuts.

Sighing, Syrus stood up, holding his deck ready.



"Alright; both of you come up to the front of the class."

[kelik]

"AWWW!!!" He threw his imaginary tantrum and threw his books off his desk. "Alright, Sy! Best of luck." He nodded at him.

He leaned back in his chair, scowling. Let's see how this will go...

[AnT]

She quickly stepped at the front, before taking out her deck. "Ready?" she asked, with that cold look in her face.

That look served to intimidate him, but he nodded. "...r-ready." he said.



"Alright; Ms. Rhodes vs. Mr. Truesdale... begin!" Crowler called.

Her inner duelist couldn't help but sneak her duel-disk in her bag. She knew she failed from the start of the day. But no use to worry about that now, for the fire in her heart burned wild once again; excited to be dueling.

Slotting the deck in her gauntlet, the disk assembled itself together before she drew five cards. "DUEL!!!"

Drawing out her cards, "I'll start off." And drawing her sixth...

"Etoile Cyber, rise!!" she shouted, slapping the card on her disk. A woman in a full red bodysuit with ribbons around appeared, spinning like a ballerina.





However, the woman was about as small as a two foot action figure. Because the class was too small for the regular sized one, the disk adjusted the monsters' size to fit in the area.

"I set two card, and end my turn."

Only one monster? Geez... "...I summon Patroid, in Attack Mode!" he called, placing a card on his disk...





"...I activate Patroid's effect! During my main phase, I can reveal one of your face-downs!"

Instantly, Patroid's siren blazed to life, as it held out a badge to the left face-down on Alexis' field, forcing it upwards...

She really didn't even move a muscle as one of her face-downs stood up.

Syrus flinched at that. That's a sick card! I should... "...I activate Mystical Space Typhoon!" he called, placing a card in the Spell Zone on the disk. "To destroy your Spirit Barrier trap!"

Instantly, a vortex shot towards that trap card, intending to tear it to shreds.
