@misty@ "..." A young girl looked out the window of a limo passing through with a slight frown on her face.

"Is something wrong, ma'am?"

@misty@ "Oh, no nothing...we're almost to her apartment, right?"

"Yes, that's right."

@misty@ "Alright..." She nodded. 'I have to tell her today...how can I break it to her gently though...' she sighed. "I'll have to figure that out soon..."

Meanwhile...

Someone walked around outside of a certain apartment complex, looking over a deck. "Hm, how interesting..."

And inside this apartment complex...



...she tiredly rubbed her head as she was slowly making her way to the living room; just looking a bit out of it. She didn't know why, but she felt... really hungry today.

[kelik]

And outside...

"I can't believe this is happening!" Shouted a voice as a dragonic roar was heard.

[YolkaEd]

Blinking, she slowly looked towards the window where she heard that roar, making her way over to look outside.

[kelik]

This floated up to her window, growling out down at the ground.

And her eyes shot wide open. With a horrified scream, she immediately backed away, managing to topple over her couch on the way.

[kelik]

The dragon didn't seem to notice it, it instead attacked a figure down below...and a life point monitor appeared.

LP: 2000 > 500

"Ha! How about that! I end my turn, chump!" Laughed a young boy, setting two cards down.

Another figure stood across from him.

As she managed to compose herself, she slowly began making her way back to the window to see what was going on.

The opponent was...



@ren@ This young man...with a rather bored expression on.

His field only had 1 face down card, and 1 monster...



While the other young man had a Dark End Dragon and 3 face down cards.

"Face it, Suzugamori! You've met your match! I'm gonna beat ya and win that title!"

@ren@ "...." He yawned out. "You don't say?"

"Don't just brush me off?! You're in a corner here!"

She just looked this over, looking at that red-haired man with a baffled look on her.

[kelik]

@ren@ "Am I now?" He drew his card, and for a moment...his eyes glowed softly. Though the other player didn't notice. However, he would notice the twisted smirk he had on his face.

"W.what? Are you gonna take your turn or not?!" He looked at his own hands. "Wait...why am I trembling?"

@ren@ "I wonder...but, oh well." He narrowed his eyes. "...final turn."

"!"

[YolkaEd]

"...final turn...?" she uttered with a concerned expression.

[kelik]

@ren@ "I tribute Charon to summon Venomous Dragon!" He placed a card down.

The mage vanished, and in it's place appeared...



A rather large dragon, roaring out at the Dark End Dragon.

"What?! With only one tribute?!"

@ren@ "If I'm summoning a monster with Shadow Knight in it's name, one's just fine, as long as it's Charon..."

"Tch, fine...then I activate my own dragon's effect!"

Dark End Roared as his own effect went off and the other dragon vanished.

2600 > 2100

"By lowering his attack by 500, I can send your card to the grave. Sorry...but this is my win!"

@ren@ "You don't listen very well don't you?" He tilted his head. "This is the final turn after all..." He smirked again.

She just watched this with wide eyes.

@ren@ "I activate my trap."



@ren@ "And with that, I check the top card of my deck...yes." He smirked. "Exactly as I saw it."

"Huh?!"

@ren@ "I special summon...Darkside Trumpeter."



@ren@ "With his skill, I can summon a Shadow Knight Pawn token."

He blew his horn, and another monster appeared.

"Feh, like that's gonna help you!"

@ren@ "No, but this will." He held out a card. "Monster Reborn!"

"What?!"

Suddenly, the dragon reappeared, roaring out.

@ren@ "Then I activate his skill..."

The dragon turned to the two knights and roared at them, the two shattered, and turned into dark orbs, floating toward the dragon.

"Tributing your own monsters?!"

@ren@ "What's wrong with that? They're mine to use after all..."

Carly blinked. "...wha...?"

[kelik]

@ren@ "When Venomous Dragon tributes two Shadow Knights through his effect, 700 power is added."

Atk: 2800 > 3500

"Oh man!"

@ren@ "That's the least of your troubles..." He rose another card. "When two or more Shadow Knights are tributed through an effect, I can summon this one..."



A knight appeared next to the dragon, staring blankly at the player's field.

"Tch!" 'It's ok...I've got plenty of traps after all!'

@ren@ "Venomous Dragon attacks Dark End Dragon!"

The dragon attacked him with a poisonous breath, and the dark dragon groaned out and took it.

4000 - 1400 = 2600

"Guh...still alive here!" 'Alright, just what I wanted. Now my dragon can be revived at full power...'

@ren@ "Oh, are you?" He asked, as the dragon flew toward him, breathing more poison at him.

"Gah!"

2600 > 1900

"What was that?!"

@ren@ "Oh, did I forget to mention his second effect? If he destroys a monster during the turn his activated his first effect, you take 700 points of damage."

"Oh, you little..."

@ren@ "And now, Masquerade...finish him!"

the knight rushed over, brandishing his blade.

"Oh no you don't! I activate Mirror Force!"

As the trap rose...the knight smashed through the mirror, unaffected.

"!"

@ren@ "Oh, and when Masquerade is summoned through his effect, he's immune to traps until the end of the turn..." He smirked.

"N.no way..."

A small breath of surprise escaped her lips, as she clutched a hand to her chest.

[kelik]

@ren@ He smirked wide. "...you lose."

The knight rose his blade and slashed down at the duelist.

"GUUUUUUUUUUUH!!!!"

He fell on the ground as his life hit 0.

Ren Wins!

@ren@ The images faded, and he came up. "What a shame...guess you weren't quite good enough to stand up to me after all."

"A.ah...don't think this is over..." He shook.

@ren@ "Nope. Not by a long shot...after all, you still have to contend with your nightmares after losing to me." He laughed.

"T.tch..." He got up and rushed off.

@ren@ "...excellent." He rose his deck, and looked at it. "I've never felt anything like this...these cards are unreal..."

Out of utter shock, she just kept watching him from out her window.

@ren@ "...?" He took a look up at Carly, noticing her watching him and took a smirk at her, putting the deck away. Then turned to her and took a wave. "Hiiii! Did you enjoy the viiiiew?" He asked, with a suddenly different, lighter tone from before.

She just blinked, though it wasn't clearly visible beneath her glasses. "...uh..."

@ren@ He took a chuckle. "I'll take that as a yes." He turned and walked along with his hands in his pockets.

She couldn't help but blink as she saw him just walk along. That was... unreal, the turnabout on that duel...

And there was a knock on Carly's door soon after he left...

"Buh!" Startled by that, she looked towards the door. "It's open, just don't be a thief!"

@misty@ "I'm not." Misty quietly said, walking inside. "Sorry, did I surprise you?"

[YolkaEd]

"Oh, no, just a bit jumpy." Carly remarked with a laugh. "There was a duel happening outside, it was... pretty exciting."

[kelik]

@misty@ "Really now?" She blinked. "I suppose I missed it...anyway, are you free today? I wanted to offer lunch."

[YolkaEd]

"...oh, yeah, you did make that offer earlier." Carly nodded. "Yeah, I'd like some lunch, please."
