"You'd better be ready for anything..." He said to Blair. "I'm pretty sure when he's got the right cards, he can combine them..."

@rafael@
With a nod, he drew.
[dice=5]
Seeing that card, he held a different one out. "My trap activates. Dust Tornado."
Swiftly, a twister shot out from the earth to rip Blair's face-down to shreds.[rand=4313048601606305563859028909058184296380910981082861565094749353]

"Ah! I'll activate it now then!" She gasped. "I'll uhh..." She panicked as the winds blew through. "Make my Strength immune to spells until the end of your turn!" A green aura appeared around Strength. @leon@ 'I suppose she was saving that for when she needed it...but his trap certainly interrupted that.' "Heh, she gets panicky quick..."

@rafael@ "...immune to spells... very well." With a nod, Rafael played one card. "I summon Gladiator Beast Laquari to the field." In a blaze, the fiery tiger being appeared on Rafael's side. @rafael@ "...then, I will activate a set card." he mused, as he revealed one card... @rafael@ "I choose to activate its first effect. One of your monsters will now be forced to shift their position... and I can only choose Amores of Prophecy." A lash suddenly appeared, which lashed out at the blind-folded angel to force him into attack mode.

@rafael@
"I will have Laquari attack Amores."
With a snarl, the burning tiger rushed towards the angel, before throwing a fiery punch.

@rafael@ "Next, I will have Dimacari attack your Strength... right after activating Horn of the Phantom Beast." And his last trap was revealed. As a massive pair of antlers attached themselves to Dimacari, he broke into a dash towards Strength. @rafael@ "Horn of the Phantom Beast increases the ATK of any Beast or Beast-Warrior equipped with it by 800 points; enough to deal with Strength's added bonus." Dimacari: 2400 ATK

LP: 2800 - 400 = 2400 The axe wielding mage groaned out at the tackle, and was destroyed. "Whoa!" She gasped again, as she took more damage.

@rafael@
"And since Dimacari was called out from the deck via Hoplomus' effect... he may attack a second time."
Roaring, Dimacari charged straight for Blair to finish the duel off.

"Whoa whoa whoa whoa WHOA!" She gasped, and held her arm up. But a certain card slipped out of her hand and onto her duel disk. Suddenly, a gong sounded out on the battle field, and stopped the beast in his tracks. Forcing him back to the other side of the field. The battle phase had ended after that. @leon@ "Huh?" He blinked at that. "Whoa, she..." "...huh?" she blinked and looked over. "I'm not dead...?"

"Battle Fader negated his Battle Phase and Special Summons it to the field..." He said. "But, when it leaves the field, it's banished... be careful on your next turn, Blair..."

@rafael@ "...hm." With a hum, Rafael nodded. "Two effects activate. First, as Dimacari destroyed your Strength with the Horn of the Phantom Beast, I may draw one card." And he drew. [dice=5] As he did that, he glanced at Laquari. "I will then send Laquari back to the deck... to call forth Gladiator Beast Equeste." And as the tiger being vanished... ...a centaur warrior appeared. @rafael@ "And as he was Special Summoned in this way, I may take a Gladiator Beast card from my graveyard, and add it to my hand, like Gladiator Beast's Respite." And thus, he claimed that spell back into his hand.[rand=85274172656035971841771289644161537412457415181511871032659553704]

She looked over at Koyo, then back at Rafael, as he made his moves. "Right right....heh, I planned that perfectly!" "...yeah, right." "I DID!" She said. @leon@ 'Seems this man is getting used to his deck...impressive.'

@rafael@ With a nod, Rafael held another card out. "Now... since I have a Gladiator Beast on the field, I may Special Summon Test Tiger from my hand." And he played that card. As the tiger landed on the field, it purred a touch. @rafael@ "...next, I activate its effect. By tributing it, I may shuffle one of my Gladiator Beasts back into the deck, to Special Summon a new Gladiator Beast." With that, the tiger vanished, and Equeste was surrounded in a glow. "And I will have Equeste retreat, to call back Hoplomus." As the centaur swiftly leapt away, the massive rhinoceros slammed back onto the field; arms crossed. @rafael@ "And, as he was Special Summoned in this fashion, his DEF is now 2400."

Rafael then set a lone card behind his two behemoths, before nodding. "I end my turn."

"Really?" He looked over. @leon@ 'I wonder if Blair could find that weakness...' "Aaaah man!" She gasped out. "That was...pretty close." She said. "You sure that's a new deck you got there? Cuz that was crazy good..."

Just got it today?! Impressive... I wonder if he has the ultimate Gladiator Beast in his deck... He thought to himself. Gladiator Beast Heraklinos.... with him out, Blair might have problems...He then, smiled. However, it seems Blair might find a way to counteract... let's see how she does...

"I'll summon Temperance of Prophecy!" She put a card down. And a woman with two gold chalices appeared in her hands. "Next, I activate Spellbook of Secrets!" "With it, I'll take another Spellbook card from my deck!" @leon@ "This move seems...wait, she did this before. And she..." "Since a Spellbook card was activated this turn, Temperance's effect kicks in!" She rose her hand. The woman rose up, as one chalice glowed white. It vanished in a bright light...

When the light cleared, this figure dropped down to the field. @priestess@ She smiled at her opponents. "My new ace card, the high priestess is here! Ha ha!" "Whoa! She brought out an all star card in just one combo?!" @leon@ "Just like I thought...maybe she can turn this around."

"I'll switch Battle Fader to defense mode." She said, as the being lowered to the ground. "Next, I activate the High Priestess' skill!" @priestess@ The Spellbook of Secrets rose from the grave, and she held her hand out. The book opened, and the pages flipped through. "By banishing a Spellbook spell card from my graveyard, I can destroy one card on the field. I pick...your face down!" @priestess@ A beam fired from the gemstone on the book, right toward the set card.

@rafael@ "...then I may as well use it." And before the beam could strike the card, it flipped open. And where the beam narrowly crashed, a massive war chariot appeared; surging with power. @rafael@ "Since I control a Gladiator Beast, I may use War Chariot to negate the effect of your High Priestess... and destroy her." Without warning, the War Chariot suddenly shot straight for the priestess to just ram into her.

@priestess@ "!" The spellcaster gasped as the chariot literally smashed into her, and blew her up. "........" And the poor girl was white as a ghost. "Harsh, mate..." He laughed a bit. Sharp glare. "...eeeh..." He looked away. She took a sigh. "Alright, guess that was smooth...anyway, I'll just activate my Spellbook of Eternity to take back my banished Secrets." So she did. "Then I'll put down my last card, and end my turn..."
