His fear has come true...
Greiger wasn't the only one...
Over six months ago, a great evil tried to break free from an ancient seal from 5000 years ago...
The Earthbound Immortals...
Anyone who is filled up with hatred and the will to live after they were killed off will be revived as the Dark Signer, the wielder of a Dark Synchro monster and the Earthbound Immortal that chosen them...
Kalin was chosen by Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu...
Greiger was chosen by Earthbound Immortal Chacu Challhua... after being killed to replace a fallen Dark Signer and fooled into thinking that someone he knew had destroyed his village and killed his family...
Turned out it as the Earthbound Immortals and his family and villagers were still alive... as trapped victims within Chacu Challhua. Greiger was able to be defeated by Crow....
There are seven Dark Signers in total...
Greiger himself, Kalin, Misty Tredwell, Carly Carmine, Devack, Roman Goodwin and Rex Goodwin...
When the Earthbound Immortals and their ruler were finally defeated by Yusei and Majestic Star Dragon, five out of seven were revived and given a second chance...
Only Rex and Roman decided to remain in the afterlife...
...Carly's memories as a Dark Signer are erased. But, Greiger's... he retained them... maybe because Carly is too kind and fragile... who knows how she'll feel if she knew what she had done as a Dark Signer...
Greiger must have kept his because he is a strong Duelist... he can pull through this... the guilt has been removed... his time as a Dark Signer was short, thankfully...
Devack and Misty... he doesn't know if they kept their memories or not...
...but... here... Kalin...

She looked down at the ground. She smiled a bit, before looking from side to side. "...normally, outsiders can't duel unless directly challenged by Radley or Malcolm... but..." She looked back at Greiger with a nod. "...pretend that you'll join Malcolm's group. Then, you have to bring Kalin somewhere no one else is bound to look for you... and you beat him in a duel."

Meanwhile, his mind wondered to that card Kalin showed him... Hundred Eyes Dragon... When you're a Dark Signer, you're given the opposite of Synchro... Dark Synchro. They're the second strongest card that aren't an Earthbound Immortal. The first two known Dark Synchro were used by a couple of puppets used by Dark Signers...  Frozen Fitzgerald against Yusei...  Dark Diviner, used by a possessed Trudge against Jack... Then... the Dark Signers used them... Hundred Eyes Dragon from Kalin...  Zeman the Ape King by Devack...  Underground Arachnid by Roman Goodwin...  Moon Dragon Quilla by Rex Goodwin, used with the lighter Synchro Sun Dragon Inti... @greiger@ As he got nearer to his Duel Runner to pick up his deck and Duel Disk, a cold feeling ran through his body... If the Dark Synchros weren't sealed away with the Earthbound Immortal, then...? ...Greiger never checked his Extra Deck for a long while... ...thus, he did... After a moment of silence... @greiger@ "Kalin... I'll use this to help you..." He muttered, putting the card back and prepared himself. It's time to begin the plan... a difficult one, but it's something he has to do...
