"You know that school built beside this one...?" He asked, stopping and looking at them. "...the Hikari School..."

As Jaden had gone before Zane said that, Syrus looked back at Zane with a puzzled look. "...the... Hikari School...?"

"Yes... that odd school... the one with Aster Phoenix's manager as the headmaster...." He said. "Guess who left this school to join them?"

He looked over as he overheard that. "Hm..." He was surprised Chazz left.

Syrus gawked at that. "...no way... Chazz and Rose...?"



"Indeed. The two of them exchanged schools, like a bunch of drop-outs..."



That bitter voice was unmistakable. "Professor Crowler!"



As he walked down the hall, he gave the two of them a nod. "Signor Zane." It was clear that he seemed miffed; mainly because of this turn of events regarding Chazz and Rose.

"If you'd like to see proof, Syrus..." He said, pointing to the window outside... "There's Chazz..."



And there he was... standing on a box... yelling and such about how wonderful the light can be, etc, etc, etc...

@bonaparte@ "OY! Get off that box, Princeton!" Shouted a short, portly Frenchman, hopping up and down angry.

He sweatdropped at that sight and just walked off.

"This is my box, not yours!!!" He snapped. "Don't sell yourself short!!!"

Syrus looked out with a puzzled expression. "...what happened to him?"



"He's impazzito." Crowler scoffed, as he kept walking down the hallway. "I have to tell Sheppard about this..."

@bonaparte@ "Pardon MOI!? Did you just call me SHORT!" He hopped up more. "Don't make me call the cops!"

Walking by with Jasmine, Mindy bounced over to Zane. "So you heard about Chazz and Rose, huh? I heard Dimitri and Missy left, too."

He whirled to Mindy. "Dimitri and... Missy?! She left?!"

This was shocking... considering that girl was always stalking him...

Syrus gawked. "...you're kidding me...!" That would mean that, apart from Crowler, Jaden and Alexis.. he was the only one left in the duel club at this point.

"Did any of them say why they left?!" He asked.

[AnT]

"Not sure about Dimitri, but Missy..." With a laugh, "Something about winning your heart. HA!! Good luck with that."

And she walked off.

Syrus could only gawk at that, before he looked up at Zane. "...what's... going on, Zane...?" He seemed really worried about this.

"................." He was silent at this, crossing his arms, before glancing at Chazz...



...whom was picking up the box, looking a bit exhausted...



"...I don't know, Syrus, but..." He glanced at the Hikari School. "...there's something in there that's causing this strange events..."

"...you don't plan on investigating there on your own, do you?" Syrus assumed with a worried tone.

"....no. I've heard that Hikari School has a teacher who was from an army and been in there for so long, he has no compassion..." He said. "Too dangerous..."

Syrus shuddered upon hearing that. "...then what do we do, Zane...?"

".....I don't know, to be honest.... but, if we need answers to what is going on here.... we need to find it or think things through...." He rubbed his chin. "I wonder if that's why he came to the tournament...?"

"...hm?" Syrus tilted his head a touch.

[Ninetalesuk]

"When Jaden won his Duel against Alexis, what happened next...?" He asked.

[YolkaEd]

"...he dueled Aster..." Syrus replied, as he glanced down. "...wait." He looked back up at Zane. "...you're saying that... the only reason Aster and Sartorius came here was to..." He had a feeling, but he would only really be certain if Zane confirmed it.

"....Aster's manager is Sartorious... who is also the owner of Hikari School..." He said. "When Jaden won, he became the best young Duelist in this school... having Aster beat him like that must be his way of saying Hikari School has better Duelists... yet, considering Chazz and the others are joining that school... suggests there's an alterative motive from Sartorious..."

Folding his arms, Syrus glanced back at that school. "...outright asking him would be difficult, though... especially if there's some drill sergeant teacher there..."

He ponders at the moment. "...when we get the chance, we can get answers from one person who's been into that school..."

Syrus glanced back at Zane. "...you mean... Chazz?" he assumed.

He nodded. "...He must have taken his loss against Jaden too much... being beaten by a Kuriboh that's taken out his two Five-Headed Dragons and wasting his full LP to 0 must be part of the reason why he swapped school..."



"I bumped into that Bastion Misawa after my last class to see him carrying Chazz's black coat... he found it on that day after he saw Chazz take it off and throw it to the ground before walking off..."



"And now... we find him acting like an idiot..."



He looked at Syrus. "...Did anything happened with Jaden, anyway...? He walked off without saying a word when Aster beat him... and looks more depressed than the time I won against him..."

Syrus glanced aside. "...I'm not sure... something must have happened, though..." he remarked, as he rubbed his neck. "...for some reason, he wanted to get a new deck... and for some reason, when he tried dueling one of Tyranno's friends... he just ran off. I don't know why..."
