 With his deck ready, shuffled and placed into his Duel Disk, he took his position with a frown. Syrus, hmm...? Zane's little brother...He frowned. I'd better be careful... this dweeb was around when I fought Jaden yesterday... he saw my two best cards... Armed Dragon LV10 and Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon... but, I've been working on my deck... so, I'm ready to surprise him........ He chuckled underneath his breath. Not to mention my Fusion monster... When it's time and he's completly defenseless... |

If he could do this... but he didn't have enough to use it with. But if he could get lucky... "...I... activate Pot of Greed, to draw two cards." And so he did. [dice=5][dice=5] The instant he drew those cards, his eyes widened yet again. ...holy... yes! Now I can... "I... I..." He grew nervous that this would somehow backfire, but... oh, damn it all, he was going for it! "...I... activate Vehicroid Connection Zone!" Immediately, a massive platform with rails appeared behind Syrus, as he slid three cards into the Graveyard. "This card allows me to send cards from my field or hand to the Graveyard... to Fusion Summon a monster from my Fusion Deck!" Gulping, he looked up at the platform. "And... I'm going to fuse Steamroid, Drillroid, and Submarineroid!" As he said that, the three vehicle-like creations appeared on the platform, before they rushed towards the center in a blinding light, whilst the platform descended to ground level. "3000?!" He gawked. This is Syrus' ultimate combo... Jumbo Drill can deal piercing damage, even if the monster is in DEF mode... also... Vehicroid Connection Zone's other effect... Because Jumbo Drill was Fusion Summoned by this card... he cannot be destroyed by the effects of Spells, Traps, and Effect Monsters. Also, its effects cannot be negated.He grits his teeth, narrowing his eyes... Yet, Syrus should be careful... while it sounds powerful, there are downsides to it... He watched carefully. After all, Chazz still has two face-downs... |

Syrus was aware, but... well, he had the chance. And with Vehicroid Connection Zone's effect on Jumbo Drill... a small boost of confidence struck him. "...I'll... attack your face-down monster with Jumbo Drill!" As steam rocketed from the massive drill, it charged for the flipped-down monster; drill spinning as it prepared to strike. |

Vehicroid Connection Zone's effect can prevent the Fusion Monster's destruction, but not by cards that banish it off the field... He frowned. |

Syrus didn't even seem to hear what Chazz was saying; his strongest combo, the one he had actually won against Jaden with... had just been rendered completely useless. He just felt completely broken... ...I... I gotta... pull myself together... With a slight gulp, he looked at the other cards he had in his hand.
